It's hard not to feel like Sony's PlayStation 5 and PC remake of The Last of Us is anything more than a cash grab.
Kai Tatsumoto:
'After five years of teasers and delays, we can confirm that PRAGMATA is a real game that you'll soon be able to play early next year'
Fans and collectors will likely enjoy the various soundtrack options announced for the game.
Richard Bailey Jr. of The Koalition writes: Capcom announced Pragmata during a PlayStation 5 stream back in 2020. Five years later, the upcoming science fiction action-adventure game received a new trailer at Sony’s latest State of Play, reminding everyone that it’s still in active development and on the way.
The Last of Us Part 1 doesn't feel like a blatant money grab.

ill wait for the ps6 version the super duper remaster of the remaster
I think it's a smart move for the franchise. While I thought part 2 was a very good game, there is no denying it was hated by a lot of people. So it's smart to capitalize off part 1 to the keep the franchise hot going into part 3. They obviously can't undo part 2 and bring Joel back but this is the next best thing.
Yessir.
I don’t agree with the pricing of Last of Us Part 1. It’s a remaster of a remaster. I believe this re-release should be priced at $40 USD. Additionally, I encourage Sony to at least allow owners of the PS4 version of the Last of Us to pay an upgrade fee.
PC games and Xbox [via BC enhancements] have allowed players to get free visual and performance upgrades for their titles. The PS5 is very compatible with the PS4. Porting from PS4 to PS5 is easy, so Sony doesn’t need to price it remasters so high. Nor do they need to paywall performance enhancements.
As an aside: I think gamers should be calling out Nintendo for their high-priced Switch “remasters”.
