The Gamer Writes "We got a first proper look at Sonic Frontiers this week. It's had a mixed reception, with some looking forward to the blue blur's first outing into an open world, but others fearful over how empty everything looks."

Switch owners can take advantage of the latest SEGA / Atlus sale on the eShop for June 2024, which includes the lowest price ever for Sonic Frontiers. A bunch of other titles are also discounted.
A new patch for Sonic Frontiers resolves the game's controversial difficulties and many other polarizing elements.
Yeah Sonic GT and Utopia might be fan games but they've managed to pull off the concept a lot better than SEGA, the main thing about the fan games I've noticed is the speed and flow when going through the levels. Even when it comes to things like rails they are in places where they look more natural, the mining cart rails in GT for example, the ones in Frontiers are just laughable, some are just hovering in the air like they are an object during development the devs forgot to delete or move.
I just don't know why SEGA keep trying to experiment when all we want is Sonic Adventure Remakes/Remasters or Sonic Adventure 3.
Hell even a Sonic Mania sequel.
They think that way because it's the truth. You can see the character and soul in these fan projects, but Frontiers looks lifeless, lacking in both character and soul.
I don't care what excuses people have for Frontiers, there is no way a AAA company should be putting out a preview like that 5 months from release. Everything we saw of that preview was something you would expect to see from an early concept. I have seen people say that that is exactly what it was, but where is the logic in showing us stuff from the early part of it's development when the game is supposed to release in 5 months?
The only reason why anything that bad would be released to the public so close to release is because they have nothing better to show. There was honestly not a single thing about it I was impressed by. Some people are saying it looks pretty.....but does it really? The graphics here are nothing special and aesthetically it is kind of jarring to look at. Bland, watered down colours, horrible rails floating in the back ground, Sonic looking completely out of place with the world and awful pop ins and animations. Graphically, it is nothing special and aesthetically, its hideous.
The same can be said for GTA fan overhauls. The companies don't care and are just cashing in on consumers who buy now and think later.

The animation of sonic seems to have huge problems and some are missing. Don't understand how.
Yeah they do. How about Sega just pay the people who make unofficial Sonic games if they can do a better job.
