For a game that'll be 18 years old by the time the new game releases, it holds up amazingly well. Looking forward to REmake4, 2 and 3 were a lot of fun.

Actually it'll probably be 19 years old. (by the time it releases) . I beat it on the Wii(without motion controls) in like 2012, and played part of it on PS3. And playing through it on Quest 2 VR and it's amazing.

Yeah January 2005, just shy of my 15th birthday. I remember only having a B-Line card as ID, not being 15 yet and praying the chaps at GAME saw I was just a fan desperate to play the next installment. Getting that game home and popping it in the GameCube seems not that long ago. Now I'm a dad with bills to pay... I don't know what happened to the time!

I've never played more than 2hrs of RE4. Looking forward to it. My biggest question is where in the hell is the MP for the last game? Seems as if a lot of people have forgotten about it.

Me neither. Hatred the controls. Standing still to shoot as enemies approached with very little firepower at the beginning was no fun and I was over that mechanic. Never picked it up again.

You should try Wii edition the added pointer control makes crowd control a lot easier as you're not being tied to laser targeting and fixed aiming speed on any other versions, you can aim as fast as your arm allow.
Still the best RE4 version to me.

Same, one of those games I totally don't care when there so many good PS2 games at those time. While back then I don't really pay attention to game review and was surprise this game has high score especially is not even scary comparing to something like Biohazard.

Ada’s outfit is so much more appropriate to the situation. The showing skin theme of earlier video game female characters was always ridiculous and out of place

Then you have Yuffie in FFVII with unbuttoned short shorts, and an entire arm stuck in a cast/guard thing. Which they fully kept in for the Remake.

That's right. It's just men who are horny and can't get a real woman. So glad the games industry is growing up. It's about time we break away from this heteronormative trope. Besides..blood and gore is more enjoyable than staring ad women's bare shoulders.

Super excited about this! Never played the original other than the trial of the remaster on ps4. I've heard great things, so this is one remaster that definitely deserves it! Graphics look great, but I'm more interested to see what they do with physics and the combat, as I feel like bringing those up to the level of the last 2 remakes is going to make the biggest impact.

Well, I've changed my mind after seeing the trailer. I like the original a lot more even when it wasn't such a great experience on PC for me. The atmosphere of the original is just missing.

Give me a break, the atmosphere of the original is intact and further enhanced. Liking something over something else that has yet to be released is straight up ridiculous.

All the trailer showed me was dark-looking lighting and environment (and Leon's weird movement). I have to admit, however, that I am a big sucker for 2004-2010 games and think their atmosphere was/is unparalleled, so maybe that's why I have a bias against the trailer.
