God of War Ragnarok Merchandise Spotted, With Most Shipping This September

God of War Ragnarok merchandise, with most of them shipping on September, lending to further rumors about the game's possible release date.

SullysCigar1065d ago

September sounds great to me! I'm sure they'll want to launch the game with getting a decent-sized batch of PS5s to market. Hopefully they can make that happen.

EvertonFC1065d ago

Was thinking with the recent drop in sales from ps5 maybe they have held some back with the chip shortage so they have more GoW bundles ?

cluclap1064d ago

I think because either cross gen it wouldn't make much of a difference. I think that would only be beneficial if it were ps5 only or you don't have a ps4

Eonjay1064d ago

Not to they point where they would miss their own shipment projections. In every case, due to raw demand they are always going to be disadvantaged the most by stock issues. I predict that their stock will improve in June.. they has secured resources to produce at least 18 million before April of 2023... so I think supply for consumers should improve soon, they only have 10 monthes to sell all these units.. if the drop doest come till September then these drops are gonna be enormous. PS5 will outsell the Switch this year as well.

A sign that the game will release soon.

September, I like that! I just hope it doesn’t interfere with my wedding...😬😅&# 128514; I’d be an awful husband to cancel, lie and make up some ridiculous excuse or move the date back further, just so I could play God of War Ragnarok! If I did that I could see my fiancé saying to me (as I’m playing Ragnarok in my secret man cave, below the garage, and she thinks I’m away at work or whatever and finds me (thanks for exposing me, BOI aka, my son) and looks at me with eyes of DEATH saying

will rain down every agony, every violation imaginable, upon you.. I will parade your cold body from every corner of every realm, and feed your soul to the vilest filth of Hell.. That is my promise.. My fiancé/wife

Thanks so much, Freya, she took your words and put meaning into them. AND, she’d than take the PS5 (the game) and go up outta the man cave and go in the house, play it herself, after cooling off. My, I got nothing now, but my man cave, and the short memories I had with the game. Damn it😭

But yeah, soon enough it’ll be here for us all to experience what I don’t doubt will be an incredible game. I can’t wait to see Fucking Gratitude again😄 “pardon my language” Brok just had to name his pet that.

"as I’m playing Ragnarok in my secret man cave, below the garage"

It's really none of my business, but I'm curious, who pays the majority of the bills in this relationship?

I ask because you make it seems like your fiance has banished gaming in your living room, leaving your man cave as the only alternative 😆

BTW, congratulations 🎊

ClayRules20121065d ago

I won’t answer that question. But no disrespect intended to you.

“I ask because you make it seems like your fiance has banished gaming in your living room, leaving your man cave as the only alternative 😆”

I will answer this however. So, my fiancé has by no means banished gaming from the living room, and I certainly wasn’t trying to make it come off that way. The man cave i built for myself (it’s an escape) that I enjoy having when I just want some ME time or when buddies want to get away from their busy lives for a little bit. It’s our secret “Tree house” haha, only outta sight. Well, except for some on here now knowing.

Anyways, my fiancé games with me (we love gaming together as a family, our son joins us sometimes too, good times!!) and my fiancé games separately from me at times, as I do game separately from her (be it the living, spare bed room or the man cave.

And much thanks for the congratulations, I do genuinely appreciate that🙏🏻

Happy wife happy life. She can watch what she wants and I'd rather have a display just for me so no nagging 🤣

Elda1065d ago

I always thought the game would get a September to November 2022 release date.

saint_seya1065d ago

Well im just playing the PS4 one in my PS5, since i didnt get a PS4 last gen, and i think it looks almost next get alredy, so cant wait to see how the new one will look.

Flawlessmic1065d ago

Yea god of war honestly looks rediculous even on a base ps4, so im really hoping they push the ps5 for this one even though its a cross gen title.

Either way cant wait!!

well... its not quite what I was expecting but still nice they honor the spartan.

VenomUK41d ago

What an absolute half-hearted and shoddy way for Sony to commemorate the epic God of War series. A few alternative skins and the option to buy t-shirts or vinyl. It would have been better to not have any celebration. Abysmal.

No offense Sony… but nobody is playing God of war ragnarok in 2025…

andy8541d ago

Every month in 2025 God of War Ragnarok has had more steam users than Starfield.

Inverno41d ago

Bruv I'm pretty there are more people playing literally anything BUT Starfield.

Profchaos41d ago

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if there was more people playing bubsy 3d than starfield

Profchaos41d ago

Yeah no one at all especially when it just became available to the millions of PS plus subscribers

PanicMechanic41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Maybe it’s because I sold my Ps5 last year and built a new PC. But ragnarok I finished in 2022 when it released. Don’t have any motivation to replay.

Profchaos41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

It would have been nice to have a PS plus drop of the ps2 original though I get that

Cacabunga41d ago

I actually installed it again today to try the latest roguelite DLC. Costumes is a nice addition but def expected something else.

Killer2020UK41d ago

Mate, I only started playing the previous one. It holds up unbelievably well considering it was a PS4 release

Chard41d ago

Not everybody buys and plays games during the launch window

BISHOP-BRASIL41d ago

I just finished it last week. You don't speak for everyone.

Damn Sony
You keep on remastering recent games and yet choose not to for a franchise that's celebrating it's 20 years?
I'm sure a lot of old and new fans would appreciate being able to play the entire saga using their current gen consoles.

Shane Kim41d ago (Edited 41d ago )

Sure but that would require to actually remaster. Not selling the same game from last gen in a new box and call it remaster.

Profchaos41d ago

I admit I got a bit swept up in thinking we would get a PS classics drop of the first game on PS plus not a remaster or anything just running under the new ps2 emulator id be.halpy with that or the PSP games that deserve more praise really

New in-game content incentives coming to PlayStation games on PC

Playstation writes: "Starting with tomorrow’s release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PC, we’re working to add more benefits to playing with an account for PlayStation Network. The Last of Us Part II Remastered (coming April 3, 2025), in addition to God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, will all soon be adding in-game content unlocks for PlayStation Network account users.

An account for PlayStation Network will become optional for these titles on PC. Players who still opt to sign into a PlayStation Network account will also enjoy added benefits like trophies and friend management."
