PULSE 3D Wireless Headset Review - Xbox vs. PlayStation | Zyro-EG

Jason says, "While the primary comparison is obviously the Xbox Wireless, there is an interesting parity between the two of them. The PULSE is another balancing act with a lean towards the budget side of things."

Review contains mic audio samples for comparison with the Xbox Wireless and RIG 800LX headsets.

what a coincidence. I literally just bought a pulse 3D headset this weekend and the first thing I did was compare it directly with my new wireless xbox headset.

Out of the gate, the Xbox set feels more premium. The Pulse3D set actually feels a little cheap by comparison.

The Pulse3D set is also not very convenient for using buttons while wearing the headset. For starters, theres a lot of them and they all feel similar so you are gonna have to work on memorizing everything and feeling around unless you want to take them off to see what you are doing. For comparison, the Xbox set has a power button and a mute button. The actual outer parts of the speaker cups are dials - pretty brilliant. One side controls overall volume and one side controls mix. This is absolutely one of my favorite things about them.

I do like that the pulse3D headset has no mic boom but the quality isn't as good as a boom. Aesthetically this is a bit better than the Xbox set which does in fact have a boom but it doesn't sound as good. The boom on the Xbox set is very tiny and it can fold up into the ear cup so its not a huge difference but still...

The Pulse3D headset also requires a USB dongs. The Xbox set does not. In fact, a cool thing with the Xbox set is you can actually turn on the console with the power button from the headset. Pretty cool. With one press of my headphone button, the Series X turns on, turning on my TV and setting the input to the xbox.

Sound wise, they are close, but I still think the Xbox set wins here too. They have a really clear sound, with more accurate, clean bass response. I would even argue that they sound slightly better than my SteelSeries Arctis 7x set, which cost $60 more. The Pulse3D set sounds good, but def not as much bass and lacks a slight bit of the same clarity. It's not a huge difference other than the bass response, but it is there.

3D audio wise they are pretty comparable. Personally speaking, I feel unless you have an actual surround sound system, 3D audio on a 2 speaker system (tv or headphones) doesn't quite compare as its all phasing tricks, meant to trick your brain vs literally moving the sound around the room so this feature isn't the most amazing to me on either set.

In my honest opinion, with both headsets literally being the same price, I'd say the xbox set is a better buy. When I got the xbox set, it somewhat pissed me off that they kept pace with my Arctis 7x set while being substantially cheaper. I could not say the same for my Pulse3D set. They are certainly adequate, but I have contemplated returning them and just spending a bit more for the Arctis 7p on the Playstation side. Not hating. Not trolling. My honest thoughts. DM me if you wanna discuss. In fact - I'd even like suggestions of good headsets for the ps5. I'm willing to spend a bit more to get more quality.

Dollhouse: Behind the Broken Mirror (XS) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "The only thing developers Grindstone & Indigo Studios have successfully argued is how underwhelming spooky dolls tend to be as a horror main course; even so, they didn't have to forego quality craftsmanship all the while. Apropos of its central premise, if you held a physical copy up to a mirror you'd see a "How Not to Design Horror" book in the reflection. From vacuous nonsense tarnishing what's otherwise a rather basic story to dogshit gameplay, nearly every aspect reads like an asset-flipped indie horror game that somehow got a legitimate publisher's attention and additional funding. Perhaps it's quite fitting, then, that Behind the Broken Mirror managed to shatter my subterranean expectations."

“ certainly doesn't help that, layered on top of so many failings, this is retailing for $30 on console”

Outrageous! 🤮

I know, man. I don't *try* to fixate on price over other qualities, but it's a huge red flag to ignore in this case.
