Titanfall 3 Reportedly Spotted For Pre-Order In GameStop

Titanfall 3 has allegedly been sighted multiple times for pre-order across certain GameStop retail stores.

Holy shit! This early? Without any announcement?

Profchaos1092d ago (Edited 1092d ago )

My money is on accidental leak with a June EA show (E3 replacement). Consider the NVIDIA leak as legitimate announcement now.

ABizzel11092d ago (Edited 1092d ago )

They've been working on Apex for the longest, the NVIDIA leak has been spot on for everything but if I remember correctly T3 wasn't confirmed to be on there it was just a guess and some people even assumed it was just Apex Legends, so it's possible but we'll see.

I didn't play TitanFall 2 until WAYYYYYYYY after its release and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was even the campaign so I'm looking forward to this.

The multi-player should have lived longer, I really wish I had more time with it, but the PC servers are practically dead for TF2.

Been so hyped for this since it appeared in the GeForce Now leak

Double_O_Revan1093d ago

But wait, even if this is true, who's going to make it? Like the article says, Respawn are making not 1, but 3 Star Wars games. And after Titan Fall 2, Respawn went on to make Apex Legends. Which has had pretty consistent updates since release. So there doesn't seem to be enough time or resources to make a 3rd TF game in secret. Unless the ramped up staffing considerably. And that doesn't seem likely due to how poorly TF2 did sales wise.

I'm as hopeful as everyone else that it's true. But to me, the math doesn't check out that Respawn could make TF3. And again, if not them, then who? And would we want a TF3 from another developer?

Sciurus_vulgaris1093d ago

I don’t think this report is valid. As you pointed out Respawn is developing 3 other games.

ABizzel11092d ago

Respawn has at least two teams. They releases Apex and Fallen Order in the same year. It seems like they have a Star Wars Team that uses Unreal Engine and a Shooter team that uses Source Engine (still amazed how this nearly 20-year-old engine has been updated gen-on-gen to still look solid).

I'd assume the Star Wars Team is making Fallen Order 2, and another unannounced Star Wars Project both likely using Unreal Engine 5.

But the Shooter Team could very well be making TitanFall 3 (which was the plan until they ended up turning a BR mode planned for TitanFall 2, into the stand-alone Apex), a Star Wars shooter (Star Wars Battlefront III, DICE keeps taking L's), and eventually Apex 2.

1. There are your 3 Star Wars games.
2. Respawn is clearly the business and best developer at EA (EA's golden child)
3. All of this is logical and makes sense.

ABizzel11092d ago

It's possibly Respawn still. They launched both Apex and Jedi Fallen in 2019 so they obviously have multiple teams over there now and are one of the few teams that EA seems to either manage well (lol) or just leave them alone to do their own thing.

It's been 3 years since Apex and going on 3 since Fallen Order, so the Apex team could have easily moved on to TitantFall 3 since they were the ones who made T1 and T2. Not to mention Respawn uses a modified Source Engine and Unreal Engine both which have been around for the entire PS4/XBO generation and Source even before PS360, so they have the blueprint, the manpower, and the tools to make TitanFall 3 and proved they can keep it secret.

Lastly, if I remember correctly the Geforce Leak happened in 2021, well before the Star Wars games confirmation happened which was early this year, but it was unsure if the GeForce leak listed T3 or if it was going to be a spin-off of Apex (which was a spin-off of TitanFall). So there's a chance this is real. The Star Wars stuff could have been just to throw people off the fact that they have multiple teams, because they haven't said it even though it's clear they do by launching 2 games in the same year, and the Respawn Star Wars Team could very well be making 3 Star Wars games for this generation, but the Respawn Shooter Team could be ready to release TitanFall 3 and later Apex 2.

Extraction shooter? Good riddance.

DaReapa4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

What a gut punch this turned out to be. Was really hoping for another TF single player follow-up.

Wish well for those affected by the layoffs.

Yeah, they said its not going to happen. Unless they're keeping it hush-hush, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Unreal Engine 5, or commonly know as stutter engine 5. There will be issues with the PC version, as well as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. I'm tired of these companies using this piece of shit engine. There are issues with it yet they still use it. How about ID Tech 7 or 8, the games will work on those engines I'm sure Bethesda would license them out.
