Chernobylite Next-Gen (PS5) Review - Any Button Gaming

Ever wanted to wander around the Exclusion Zone wasteland of Chornobyl/Pripyat but didn't want to have to deal with real-world risk of radiation? Well, luckily, The Farm 51 has you covered with its amazing action-horror-survival-RPG, Chernobylite, with a fresh coat of irraditated paint for its next-gen launch. But what did we think about it?

Stalker and it's clones hit different given Chernobyl is part of an active war zone where unspeakable horrors are taking place.

Palitera1110d ago

So different than the hundred games against arab countries in the last decade, right? Sheep.

Palitera1110d ago (Edited 1110d ago )

Against, not about.

philm871109d ago

There's lots of stories based on things that actually happen and also things that don't, it's not an active campaign against countries. If anything they highlight issues with terrorism etc. which is a good thing.

Palitera1106d ago

What they highlight at best is international terrorism committed by invading armies. Usually the same army.

Whatever is the fake reason you believed about "saving the world through wars", it's a lie. Just think about it for a brief moment: Saving a nation... by ravaging it through a war. Saving the world... Promoting war after war.

The world really does not need a coward country attacking smaller ones to grant strategic positions and steal their resources.

Nothing of interest for me.

Night in the Woods is a lovely little indie graphic adventure. Alec Holowka conceptualised the game, the story and characters and made the beautiful music and was effectively murdered by the woke video game journalists who dog piled on top of him following false allegations.

This is one of the reasons I can’t stand most of these people, because they have no understanding of journalistic ethics which led to this poor man taking his own life.

Don't sleep on The Plucky Squire

count me in for the plucky squire. That looks so cute.

northpaws236d ago

Yes, it looks very creative and clean looking as well.

TheNamelessOne236d ago (Edited 236d ago )

Under Water and Chernobylite are great gets. I also really enjoyed Road 96.

Einhander1972236d ago

Yea, this is actually a really good month.

These are games that are well regarded and have been highly praised.

I haven't played Road 96, but it seems like something i'd enjoy, I'm definitely going to give it a try.

Petebloodyonion236d ago

For once it's a great month for Premium users:
Mr Mosquito is an hidden gem from the Ps2 era
Agent Clank is a great PSP game just like Pistol whip for VR.

But what a drag for extra users...
Still I Ill give The Plucky Squire a go ( and it's day 1 too)

I beg to differ. Most of these did fall under the radar or didn't receive the recognition that they deserved.
Chernobylite, Terminator Resistance, (especially) Dying Light 2 , Evil West, Weird West, Bugsnax, Guardians of the Galaxy, Like a Dragon and Outriders (pretty much impossible to play solo) were all underrated in my opinion.
Each to their own though.

But none of these are under rated.

HansyJ499d ago

Half these games aren’t even from 2023.. a terrible list
