According to CI Games' latest report, Lords of the Fallen 2 is planned to be released in 2023 for next-gen consoles and PC.
Lords of the Fallen 2 just got a new logo as CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński proclaimed it to be the biggest project in development at the studio.
Cool. Say what you will, but Lords Of The Fallen 1 was fine for what it was. I played it and enjoyed it as a poor man's Soulsborne game. I did get it on sale with a big discount.
Design of the logo is weird, if not ugly. Why this '2' is like this? Is it a snake? Is it meant to represent something?
The first one had a ton of potential but felt like it either needed more time/money to achieve what they were trying to do. Hopefully this time, they'll have it. I also didn't like that you had this giant hulking protagonist and yet still had to make an "rpg" from it. It felt weird playing him as a rogue.
Loved lotf 1 only thing that i disliked was the game breaking bug on my new game plus playthrough, game breaking glitch on beating the last boss again. Will get this day one, loved the art style and gameplay.
Long-awaited sequel Lords of the Fallen 2 is back in development. Publisher CI Games has established a new development studio called Hexworks to pick up work on the game. It'll be the studio's debut title.
I was late to the Dark Souls style game, Lords of the Fallen was my entry - Souls-lite as they say, but I really enjoyed it I thought it had good style, & impressive for a lower budget game early in the gen. Yea, it was pretty easy- perfect for me at the time- except for maybe the "twins" towards the end , but I finished it mostly without issue. (actually read online later there are some way easier techniques for the twins, but I figured everything out myself & took a more difficult tactic, haha) The other bosses I had down in just a few attempts, which didn't feel as rewarding. I do hope they ramp up the difficulty!!
-I just hope this one doesn't reek of other games stuck which have been stuck in "development hell". Hope Hexwork steps up the plate and really delivers a surprise hit!
Lords of the Fallen wasn't a bad game, but for me, it just had WAYYY too many bugs. I fell through the floor several times. The first boss got stuck in an animation and I couldn't damage him. The way points didn't work at times and I had weapons just disappear forever. I got stuck in the level geometry a few times and couldn't move, forcing me to start at the previous way point. Maybe I was cursed, idk haha.
If they can get those types of issues fixed and make a more challenging game, I think it would definitely have potential. I want to wish the new team the best of luck!
Lord of fallen had an amazing heavy feel to it. Excellent lore behind it. When I had run out of time tbh I flew through it with a 1 hit kill trainer
Part one came out early this gen when gamers were thirsty for any rpg. I enjoyed it thought it had a good art direction and a good enough story. Hopefully the sequel is better
From Eurogamer: "Lords of the Fallen 2 appears to be back on the ropes again.
No sooner had the game attached a new developer, Defiant Studios in New York, than we now hear the partnership has ended and the Polish company in charge, CI Games, has decided to finish the game in-house with outsourcing help."
Doesn't bode well for a sequel to a very generic Souls rip off to be in development hell. Don't get me wrong I finished the first game and it was ok but I wasn't left wanting more.
This game has disaster written all over it. I do have much hope for this game honestly. It's going through so many development issues and teams constantly changing. This doesn't bode well with the game at all.
Loved the first game. Excited for a sequel. Will be watching this.
OH DOPE! i actually really enjoyed the first, and using UE5 is a perfect for for this game, if the 1st game is anything to go by, it's gonna be a looker
Been meaning to get into the first one. Time is tough and playing through other backlogged games at the moment. I'm not the greatest at souls type games, but I do enjoy the chew.
