Slipstream is a great big nostalgic slap in the face for anyone that’s played a video game from the 90s. It's a class act for retro enthusiasts looking for a modern homage to the classic racing genre. It has its shortcomings, but absolutely serves a purpose for its target audience.
Coinciding with the blue hour expansion, Slipstream gets a dedicated Xbox Series X|S native version, with a PS5 version to follow suit.
The fantastic throwback arcade racer Slipstream, which is heavily inspired by OutRun, will be getting a native PS5 upgrade and a free expansion across all systems to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The new content is named Blue Hour, and will include two game modes, three cars, and five courses for all existing owners at no extra cost. It’s due out this summer.
