Yep. This series has been worshipped for the last 10 years, but really hasn't changed much at all. Time to finally start holding these devs accountable for lack of improvements or innovation. Maybe they will actually put some effort in next year and win myself and many other fans back.
I think multiplatform development is impacting things. Went from a single system architecture to everything that plays games. The time used for features, bug catching, and polish is going into adjustments, learning, and getting all launch ready for the same date. There’s a reason true exclusives look and play so much better than multiplat games. Eventually they will get used to it all and adjust team size and timing so they can get more done effectively, but the show will never be as good as it would have been as a PlayStation exclusive again. That singular focus is gone.
