Battlefield Mobile Features More Destruction Than Battlefield 2042; Noshar Canals Reference Spotted

Even in its pre-alpha statem and while Battlefield Mobile is just a mobile game, & not a full, AAA title like BF2042, it seems to offer more destruction. Noshar Canals reference spotted.

Didn’t EA say BF2042 had next level destruction and blew them away when they saw it.. just complete lies

one2thr1174d ago

They did, and they had the audacity to put in a clip of a multi story building crumbling with dynamic effects in the BF2042 reveal trailer.

This is sad, what has happened to dice. Loved destruction in the games, was a great feature for bfbc2.

MadLad1175d ago

Everyone blames EA for everything, but they've been the publisher for the entirety of the series.

It's not like they one day just woke up and said "we'll continue spending a bunch of money in you ... make worse and worse experiences".

It's DICE at this point, and partly EA for letting the games release, then lying with the marketing.

@TheRealTedCruz

You have to remember that EA wasn't always a terrible money grubbing studio either. You can see their influence grow more and more over the course of the Battlefield series.

The original games didn't have any microtransactions, and only released map packs and expansions. Which is fine in my opinion.

It really didn't start getting real bad until BF3, when they started selling unlockable gun packs, and progression related things. It grew and grew until these games became microtransaction-fests. BF4 introduced loot boxes with weapons, attachments, and gear.

Having said that, you're right about the fact that it probably is Dice's fault that they've gotten away from the more classic BF gameplay. It's 100% Dice's fault that they removed classes in favor of specialists, and just made the game itself feel less like a BF game. It's their fault the maps all suck in the newest game.

@TheRealTedCruz

Every single studio that EA owns ends up like this. They are corporate raiders. They run franchises into the ground then acquire new ones.

Can't wait for Battlefield 5.5 that still doesn't deliver in any way.

Battlefield 2042 Poor Launch Reception Instigated Battlefield Mobile's Cancellation

According to Industrial Toys' founder, Battlefield 2042's poor reception at launch instigated Battlefield Mobile's demise.

TheEnigma313757d ago

And whose fault is that? For all the crap CoD gets, rightfully so; they never launch broken like BF has continuously does in recent years.

ElendilsSorrow757d ago

Significantly less money hungry than CoD though

excaliburps757d ago

Yep. It's insane how DICE fucks up their own games.

Fans want bigger destruction, more vehicles, more weapons, more maps, more gadgets.

DICE: Here's gimmick 1 and gimmick 2. NO! You aren't getting what you asked for. We know what's fun for YOU!.

Viljong757d ago

Bf2042 is fine now and free on gp

Pocahontas757d ago

It’s still garbage by its own standards

TheEnigma313757d ago (Edited 757d ago )

I played it on PS+. It's fun for what it is but for full price, not at all.

PapaBop757d ago

It's BF in name only. The game direction shows they prefer adding gimmicks instead of actually making a proper Battlefield game that does it's name justice.

SICKINDIVIDUAL757d ago

It's 💩.

I fell for it don't waste your time.

BrockEmSockEm757d ago

False, I just played a week ago and still so many bugs.

The fact that this was intended to have a tandem mobile port actually explains a lot of why this game is crap. Every shortcoming and dumb aspect is characteristic of mobile games.

Nitrowolf2757d ago

The mobile game was actually being well received by players though, as in it was more battlefield than 2042 was lol

HyperMoused757d ago

Good, they killed a beloved franchise by trying to make it something it isnt, and yet i hear they are still banging on about BF as a service, nope, still havnt learnt, the franchise is dead.
