XBA says: Five points for trying but still in a ruck.
Richard writes: "Rugby 22 may be the best presented rugby union game available on Xbox, but it is still a world away from the upper echelons of sports simulation titles."
WTMG's Leo Faria: "I had a quick chat with Clement Nicolin, product manager at Nacon (the publisher behind Rugby 22), and got to find out a bit more about the company’s strategy when trying to market the game to markets where rugby isn’t very popular and to those that are, as well as other questions regarding the game’s development cycle and plans for the future."
WTMG's Leo Faria: "We’re getting there. Rugby 22 is still a flawed game, but it’s better than its predecessor, which was already a massive improvement over the disastrous Rugby 18. The core gameplay is there and the mechanics have been translated well into a gaming format. EKO Software now needs to improve the game’s presentation and fill it up with more content. This is the first rugby game released in almost fifteen years in which I can safely call it “good” and recommend it without a hitch, without any caveats, and that alone is worth celebrating. I can’t wait for the sequel."
