So far every next gen game is running on PS4/XBO engines. They can all run on last gen systems to an extent.

Every game made can run on older hardware. It’s just a matter of should it be on older hardware. The amount of compromises to the game can be super uncomfortable to a players experience.

Super long loading times, parred back camera angle, fewer enemies poor loading of assets.

In the end the best way to circumvent the problem is to make sure your game is Fun first and foremost. Because people can forgive a game that plays great and looks mediocre. They cant get away with a game that not fun and ugly

I found the combat to be enjoyable enough. I still think you should be able to cancel an attack mid swing it would open up the combat so much. Not as bad as people make it out to be but suspect most people who hate on it didn't actually play it.
