This month is pretty lacking. I'll try Trek to Yomi and start a park in Jurassic World Evolution 2 . But NBA 2k23 is not for me unfortunately.

SullysCigar350d ago (Edited 350d ago )

Same - I'm not into NBA in the slightest, but I get that many others are. I guess it's a matter of preference whether this is a good month or not. I'll check out the other games, as I know nothing about them. Might surprise me!

DogJosha349d ago (Edited 349d ago )

My problem with games like NBA is that I would expect people that would play it mostly have already owned it. It's not like there are hundreds of basketball options so you might have missed it. I know some people might download it, but it's it a significant number?

darthv72350d ago

Trek to Yomi is a good game.

closed_account350d ago (Edited 350d ago )

I'm quite happy w Jurassic World Evolution 2. Frontier is a great developer w Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo and I picked up Jurassic World Evolution 1 last year for cheap and was enjoying.

So okay, you're not into sims, it doesn't mean it's not a good score for the service. I'm not into basketball, but can acknowledge 2k23 is a good score for the service too. Not everything is going to cater to my specific tastes, but I'm glad that they're not just tossing cheapo crap titles on here just as filler like some other services.

I've heard some good things about Trek to Yomi.

Bathyj349d ago

I nearly bought jurrasic Park a couple times but never pulled the trigger.

Yomi is great.

blackblades349d ago

How can you say its lacking but then say I'll try this and that.

potatoseal349d ago

Me saying it's lacking doesn't mean it sucks. It just means its lacking when compared to other months thats all.

RedDevils349d ago

Same not a fan of NBA rather Fifa23. But I try out Jurassic World.

All the rumors and leaks get you excited what the games can be then they give you this pile of rubbish.. like what is this especially for June

seanpitt23350d ago (Edited 350d ago )

Alan wake remake

VenomUK349d ago

NBA 2K23? I'm a f-ing nerd if I enjoyed sports I wouldn't be playing video games! 🤣

isarai350d ago

Your fault for giving any heed to rumors

shinoff2183349d ago

U can get Alan wake remake on sale right now dirt cheap on psn. I got the physical off Amazon a month ago for like 13

MaximusPrime_350d ago

Seriously, I haven't a slight interest in all 3 games. Basketball in particular isn't popular outside of the USA.

Kratos_Kart2007350d ago

Basketball is extremely popular outside of the US

ModsDoBetter350d ago

Agreed on the basketball front.
Never really heard or talked about in the UK or anywhere else I’ve travelled to in my time aside from the US.

1nsomniac350d ago (Edited 350d ago )

Basketball was huge in the UK in the 90’s. We also had great basketball video games that sold very well annually just like fifa. But it did just seem to disappear overnight almost.

Basketball is still a huge sport in many countries in Europe though.

anast349d ago (Edited 349d ago )

Actually a guy from Greece won 2 straight NBA league MVPs and this year a guy from Slovenia and another from Serbia have been setting the league on fire. Not to mention Spain won the FIBA tournament over Argentina in 2019. In fact, the US is struggling to keep up with all the world talent in basketball at the moment.

__SteakDeck__349d ago (Edited 349d ago )

@MaximusPrime_ Basketball is big outside of the US. It’s the #1 sport in China. You must be from the UK. Lol Basketball is the only four major sport in the US that is truly global. Baseball is a little bit, but not as much as the NBA.

__SteakDeck__349d ago

@anast Also a basketball player from French is about to be the number 1 pick.

__SteakDeck__349d ago

@1nsomnoac Yeah it disappeared after MJ retired. Lol

I just finished looking at the video from PlayStation Access, I totally forgot about Trek To Yomi. I believe it was in a Xbox show when it was revealed and I thought it looked great. Glad to know I can finally play it, and if it’s as good as I hope I will purchase it.

The rest I’ll add just because.

I really liked this game until in the later levels they just put gun guys behind everyone else and shot the crap out of you, felt cheap and nasty, because it is.

Review - Trek to Yomi (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "It’s a shame that, for whatever reason, screenshots have been disabled on the Nintendo Switch, because I would love to show firsthand that there is little difference between the Xbox and handheld versions. Still, it overall didn’t affect my play, and the end result is still the same: a battlefield soaked in blood, a boy fulfills his debt, and the player is left torn between relief and unease. Was this truly the only path to redemption? Or was the loss worth the price of revenge?"
