A fan transformed 100 Skyrim characters - the girls began to look very sexy

The GaranSilent team has released a new interesting mod for Skyrim that changes the appearance of more than 100 characters. You can see if the NPCs have changed after installing the mod in the screenshots.

An interesting mod would be one that doesn't completely destroy all artistic and design differentiation between the characters. Can't someone create 'sexy' characters while keeping the same original features instead of this plastic surgery that makes them all look the same?

darksied1151d ago

100%, this style is just not for me. It's not creative, it seems to be the same face again and again.

fr0sty1151d ago

Why am I not surprised that this shot to the top of N4G...

HeliosHex1151d ago

Lol someone came out from under a rock

specialguest1151d ago (Edited 1151d ago )

Sure in real life who wouldn't want a hot looking woman, but in the game world it takes away from the aesthetics of the world when everyone looks like models. I want some of my peasants to look haggish, some homely, and of course a few gems in the mix. That is my preference though. You do whatever you like

MadLad1151d ago

I'm sure there's mods out there that do that. Anything is an upgrade though. Bethesda has a hard time making NPCs that look like actual people.

specialguest1151d ago

This game has been around for so long and have been heavily modded. I'm sure there is a mod for it

sourOG1151d ago

Mods allow females to be accurately represented with curves and must be stopped for democracy.

IanTH1151d ago (Edited 1151d ago )

Given the recent "outrage" over Aloy having what many were claiming was a "fat" face, it seems a lot of people have specific limitations on which curves are "accurately represented" lol.

I just looked at the mod examples, and other than not fitting the Skyrim aesthetic, are completely fine character models. Not overtly curvy either, as it turns out.

sourOG1151d ago

I can agree that both sets of cheeks need to be less robust and sufficiently covered. For democracy.

Skyrim: Why You Should Start Over in 2025

It may be approaching 15 years old, but there are more than a few reasons to load up Bethesda's classic fantasy RPG adventure in the year 2025.

Really, unless you have a top end PC with a few hundred mods, this game isn't worth playing.

KyRo86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

You're not wrong. I didn't play it when it launched. Grabbed it on PS5 and wow is it bad. I'm glad the days of Bethesda getting a free pass for janky, dated (even for it's time compared to what else came out around them times) games is over.

anast86d ago

I had the same experience. I played a bunch of it, but it was all the same. None of my choices mattered .

LoveSpuds85d ago

I am no fan of Bethesda these days as I think their design philosophy has aged horribly. That said, at the time Skyrim was bloody brilliant, one of my fave gaming memories was of a 2 week period of Christmas leave where I played the crap out of that game. I became so immersed in the game that it lives in my memory as a gaming highlight for me.

Yui_Suzumiya83d ago

What if you haven't played it yet? 😆

Rebel_Scum86d ago

If it gets ported to psvr2 it might be worth starting over again

sci4me86d ago (Edited 86d ago )

Think most of us would by it yet again if that were to happen 😅

Profchaos85d ago

I'd love that but Bethesda seemingly gave up on VR after Microsoft took over they pushed a excellent version of doom 3 out the door a few weeks after the buyout and never uttered the words VR again

DivineHand12585d ago

I doubt it. The people who play this game on PCVR all day Skyrim VR is not enjoyable without mods. You can still play Skyrim on your PSVR2 if you have a capable PC that can also run those mods.

ZeekQuattro86d ago

I pretty much start a new run every year at some point. Same with FO4 and sometimes FO3. It might as well be a tradition for me.

Popsicle86d ago

Skyrim was great in its time. It was one of my favorites. But there have been RPGs that have surpassed it. I would suggest it is time to move on and forward in 2025.

andy8586d ago

Did it last year. Enjoyed the platinum trophy journey but I wouldn't say it was a gamechanging game. I preferred oblivion to be honest. Although I did play that on release

Bethesda Desperately Wants Modders To Focus On Starfield, Not Skyrim

Bethesda dropped an update for Skyrim recently, causing all mods to stop working. Is it finally time for modders to look towards Starfield?

TheColbertinator508d ago

Instead of paid mods, Bethesda should pay modders to make their games because they clearly forgot how to make them good. Excited as I am for the supposed Oblivion remake, I am concerned that Bethesda is a shell of its former self like Bioware.

shinoff2183507d ago

I forgot they were doing that remake. Well supposedly. I still wish they go back and do something with fallout 1 and 2. Even port it to xbox its something. I'd love to play them with a controller. It can be done

neutralgamer1992507d ago

Bethesda use to make fun games but with starfield there is so much content completely against having fun. Even mod community doesn’t want to waste time with starfield. So much hype for this game and what we received just isn’t it

DigitallyAfflicted506d ago

Bethesda needs to start employing more gamers as they clearly don't understand what it takes to play video games 😂

neutralgamer1992506d ago (Edited 506d ago )

Digitally

I really think Todd and Bethesda higher ups don’t think they have to listen to gamers. They think they know what’s best. Again Bethesda would be getting bashed if they weren’t owned by MS. Right now Xbox fan base is in full defense mode and saying things like this game will be much better in about a year after patches and dlc

That’s a sad state of affairs that we are saying give billion dollar companies unlimited amount of time after launching AAA game to fix the game

Plague-Doctor27506d ago

I think theyre different scenarios. Bioware lost leadership and went with a broken GaaS game in Anthem. Bethesda just makes games that are stuck in 2012. In 2006 it was amazing. In 2023 not so much.

isarai507d ago

I'm sure you do now they you're charging for them, but modders make mods for game they like, they're not your pawns to help sell your mediocre game. make a game worth modding and they will.

Valkyrye507d ago

Time for Bethesda to focus on Scrolls VI, Starfield is what it is.

alexkarkar507d ago

This statement is like a death sentence to Scrolls VI

babadivad506d ago

Skyrim is the most stripped down bare bones Elder Scrolls game it could barely even be called a Scrolls game.

They stripped out so much of the soul of that series, it's a basic adventure game with an Elder Scrolls skin.

-Foxtrot507d ago

Yeah because they literally thought to themselves as always “let’s just release the game the way it is, modders will add onto it and fix whatever is broken, in a years time we’ll be golden”

That…is not happening

So yeah, they are probably shitting themselves

Andrew336507d ago

This is actually happening..

JackBNimble507d ago

Sounds like Bethesda has become irrelevant... so why are talking about them ? It's not like anybody gives a shit what they are working on , if anything at all.

porkChop507d ago

There's probably some truth to that. I also think some modders are waiting to see what the proper mod tools are going to allow when they release next year. Apparently they're more comprehensive than any tools BGS have ever released.

CrimsonWing69507d ago (Edited 507d ago )

Well, they should’ve made a game as great as Skyrim then. Must be rocket surgery for these guys.

Starfield has fewer players on Steam than Skyrim

PCgamesn writes, "The Starfield Steam player count has dropped below that of Elder Scrolls Skyrim, just two months after the new Bethesda RPG first launched."

TheEnigma313539d ago

Probably because most are playing it on GP. No reason to buy it full price when you can get it cheaper.

Crows90539d ago

But I thought that the claim was it sold well? If it barely sold on Xbox because of Gamepass then most sales would be on steam no? And it that's the case and there's very few players active...that doesn't bode well for something people would play for years

Profchaos538d ago

Anecdotally I know quite a few people who were obsessed at launch but they're interest fizzled out around two weeks and then dropped it completely around CP phantom libertys launch.

Seems that was a trend as the last month has been wall to wall releases if imagine most people moved on

EvertonFC538d ago (Edited 538d ago )

The truth is, the game was average to good at best, nothing to set the world on fire and when all said and done it'll probably sell about 4m across Xbox and PC which ain't great but the bigger problem for MS is that it didn't increase GP numbers.
Most GP casuals probably never played more than a few hours etc.

StarkR3ality538d ago

@profchaos

Exactly what I did, played it, beat it within like 60 hours, initially enjoyed it, and then replaying Cyberpunk made me realise how many elements of the game were below par.

itsmebryan538d ago

@Crow
How does this change the number of games already sold 9n steam and everywhere else? The people that bought the game could has finished. I for one don't continue to play games after 8 complete them. Numbers may change as new content comes out.
Do you feel a month and a half is not long enough to finish a game?

mkis007538d ago

Bryan

This was supposed to be a new skyrim. A game that has unlimited replay value for 10 years.

Juancho51538d ago

It’s a trash game. Only popular because there was nothing else to play on that console.

Lightning77538d ago (Edited 538d ago )

Do you expect the game to have 100, 000 players every month? You realize Skyrim has wealth of content and more mods and has been around for 12 years vs 2 months you also expect pplto ng+ 100 times also? Whenever the new Expansion drops the player count will go up that's how it all works. Plus they plan on sticking with it for 5 years this is only the beginning.

Congrats fail submission post. Next up let's post Exo Primals player count next, Mortal Kombat player counts.

Your little immature hate parade for this game is chilling you need to see a doctor bro.

babadivad538d ago

It did sell well. Doesn't mean people will keep playing it though. Both can be true.

Crows90538d ago

So I guess all these millions of players are hardcore gamers spending 10+ hours every day and finishing up the game quick. Doing all the content etc,...yeah right. Its a boring mess and most likely dropped it soon after starting it up.

StormSnooper538d ago

It says it dropped below skyrim two months after release.

Armaggedon538d ago

To be fair, Cyberpunk doodoos on Starfield when it comes to presentation and character builds and progression. But Starfield has its merits that have value.

StarkR3ality538d ago

Thank you! First person I've seen on here take a measured approach to Starfield other than me, it's disappointing but still can be a good time if you're into those games.

DivineHand125538d ago

I doubt it. Starfield doesn't seem like a game people will go back to like Skyrim. Skyrim is also on game pass for new comers.

GhostScholar538d ago

I agree. As much hate as this game gets I’m still playing it. Maybe like I’ve said it’s just a game made for me. I’ve had a blast with it, and I think it’s Bethesdas best narrative. It’s fallout in space which is a dream game for me. Im sorry for the people who don’t enjoy it, but I’m not gonna blast a game I have 250 hours in.

Zeref535d ago (Edited 535d ago )

The hate boner people have for this game (even before release) is actually disgusting.

These people aren't gamers.

boing1538d ago

There are simply better games to play currently.

Armaggedon538d ago (Edited 538d ago )

Better is subjective. Starfield s***s on other games in certain aspects, and vice versa.

BehindTheRows538d ago

What games does Starfield "s**t" on?

ziggyzinfirion538d ago

@BehindTheRows

The amount of loading screens.

Armaggedon538d ago

I said it s***s on other games in certain aspects. Games have “strengths and weaknesses” of course.

Armaggedon538d ago

@ziggy

All of them items and objects need to load and be instanced bruv.

BehindTheRows538d ago

What aspects? From what I played, it did nothing better than other games and certainly didn't do anything substantially better. So, my curiosity remains.

Armaggedon538d ago

Let me specify: Starfield has crafting and Elden ring has crafting. This is to highlight that games have their own perks that give them value, and its not always as simple as game A is better than game B.

VivaChe538d ago

Oh god is the phrase "it s***s on..." becoming a thing now?

Crows90538d ago (Edited 538d ago )

Critically better games.

But you've stated it very nicely. Starfields shits a lot

Flenter538d ago

The game sucks...get over it

Armaggedon538d ago

Perception manipulation at its finest

Rude-ro538d ago

Yes. That is what Microsoft’s marketing does.. pays for hype, manipulates, and drives impulse purchasing.
Through their sponsored content creators and media partners.

EvertonFC538d ago

I enjoyed it, but it felt more like a good 3rd party game than a AAA 1st party game.
As far as I'm concerned MS still has to convince me/gamers they can make AAA OMFG games.

Armaggedon538d ago

It doesn’t meet industry standards, but that has its own merits. Bethesda is just doing their own thing.

CrimsonWing69538d ago

Well, it’s been out long enough to beat it and it’s sort of super boring. How long are you expecting people to play this for?

badz149538d ago

According to Todd Howard,"for many years to come"

CrimsonWing69538d ago

I’m really amazed people still give him the time of day.

anast538d ago

More people are still playing Skyrim...
