So Gran Turismo sold better on PS5 than on PS4. First time I've seen that in Japan, if I remember correctly.

considering how many more PS4s are in the wild in Japan vs PS5s that is very surprising indeed.

Doesn't have to mean much though, in the west there are also far more PS4s than PS5s in households, yet the PS5 version of games consistently sells better than its PS4 counterpart. But in Japan it has been about 60-40 lately, usually selling a little better on PS4, but for GT7 it seems the PS5 version actually did better.

I dont know about JP but I see getting the PS5 version as a 2 for 1 deal. Well... the anniversary edition that is. I got the AE to play the PS5 disc while also being able to give my son the voucher for the PS4 version for him to play.

I know I am not the only one who did that. It just makes more sense (for me anyway) to pay a little more for both copies. Not only can anyone who has a ps4 play it but they have a ps5 copy waiting for them when they do get a 5.

Then we can finally see what this 448gb per sec 16gb ram / ultra fast SSD with AMD infinity cache, combo, is made of.

PS4 has 8gb ram,.with 176gb of bandwidth
PS5 has 16bg ram, with 448gb bandwidth.

Double the amount, and well over double (almost tripple)

So you're not going to tell me that a few of these games releasing with slightly more NPCs or a couple more trees in the background, have fully taken advantage of this new ram. Let alone the upgraded cpu/GPU.

Can't wait - for the real games to release on PS5 Only.

If it wasn't for the supply issues the share of PS5 would be much higher. As of now PS4 is still pretty significant, especially in Japan. But I think we'll be seeing more PS5 only games in the future, God of War Ragnarok might indeed be the last one (if we're talking about first party games at least).
