GTA V Next-Gen Upgrade Price Leaked

Prices for GTA V PS5 And Xbox Series X|S have supposedly been leaked, thanks to a Lithuanian online retail store, and they're pretty good.

The upgrade should be free for anyone who owns the PS4/XB1 version - but R* are greedy so we know it won't be.

I remember during a presentation they said the upgrade is free if you have last gen versions, that $40 is for the standalone next gen version.

It is free / but only for the first 3 months --> RockStar was very clear on this, as long as you upgrade to the PS5 version in the first 3 months it is free.... / after that it will cost for the stand alone GTA V Online...

PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to transfer both their GTA V Story Mode progress and their current GTA Online characters and progression to PS5, with a one-time migration.

__--STORY MODE AND GTA V ONLINE CHARACTER TRANSFERS---__

Starting today, players can begin transferring their Story Mode progress by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To begin this process, enter GTAV on your current console account and go to the Game tab of the Pause Menu. From there, select the Upload Save Game option. Please note, you can only store one game save per platform at a time and saves will remain available to download for 90 days.

Players with a Rockstar Games Social Club account will also be able to migrate their GTA Online character progress to PS5 on March 15 upon loading up the game on their PS5 console. This migration includes any Characters, GTA$, Progression, Stats, Vehicles, Properties, Weapons, Clothing, and Player-Created Jobs.**

Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online will be available digitally on March 15 through the PlayStation 5 console store — with pre-purchase and pre-load beginning on March 8 — and physical releases coming in April.

I get it but I think at this point they’ve made their money and some the games one of the biggest selling games of all time it’s a really great game but releasing it for essentially a full price is just not happening but sure some will lap it up. Myself I’ll dabble at best with the free online and grab the physical when it’s barely £10/15 in about 3 months from now max ✌🏻🤣

I think the game will look great with enhancements like RT and would like to try them out if it’s free or $10, but I wouldn’t go in at 30-60 bucks.

The online component is free for 3 months for PS+ though so I could just check out the visuals that way I guess.

Most likely $60 Canadian new nah I'll just wait for GTA 6 if I get a Series X and Rockstar gives out a free upgrade for the XB1 port I might try out GTA V again. But as of now that $60 Canadian price for a 9 year old game I am putting it towards Tiny Tina and or Kirby.

Link? They've said ps5 users can get the online portion for free, you have only 3 months to redeem. You don't get the single player mode though. You have to rebuy for the full game, nextgen.

The last time I seriously tried playing GTA 5 was on the PS3. I bought the Xbox One version, but probably put less than an hour into the game because at the time I was addicted to Advanced Warfare/Black Ops 3... I do plan on buying the PS5 version to at least finish the story for the first time... as long as the physical versions aren't terribly expensive

It is disappointing that we have had no sign of GTA 6 either towards the end of the PS4 generation or even now a year and a half after the PS5 was released. However, the devs are not forcing us to buy yet another updated GTA V and we can choose to avoid it if we so desire.
