Pokémon Presents | 2.27.2022

It’s time for the next Pokémon Presents.

gold_drake789d ago

the new pokemon games definitely came out of nowhere ha.
trailer looks good tho.

-Foxtrot789d ago

Hopefully it’s an improvement this time

Just seems they’ve came out of nowhere, we’ve just had Arcreus this year, I wouldn’t have minded if it was 2023

Shame it’s a two game thing again, they really need to stick to one game so everyone gets full experience or at least commit to a third game again in future with everything in

Starters looks waaaaaaay better than previous entries

There are three teams working on the Pokemon franchise:

One team worked on the Pokemon Diamond / Pearl remakes.
Second team worked on Pokemon Arceus.
Third team is currently developing Pokemon Scarlet / Violet.

-Foxtrot788d ago

Just because different teams are doing them doesn't mean there shouldn't be a gap, a room to breathe.

Maybe if they just pooled all their resources in one big team and focused on that specific game for 3-4 years they could make something ten times better than what they would normally release.

I'm more worried about over saturation, we're getting alot of Pokemon lately, not that I dislike Pokemon, but I don't want it to be like yearly games like Cod or Battlefield (where the quality drops off and people get franchise fatigue).

gold_drake788d ago

mhhh yes and no.

it rly depends on how good the games end up being.

business wise, this is a good decision. not so much for our wallets ha

Amazing.

Switch is having a phenomenal year.

Wrex369788d ago

Really happy that Odyssey and BoTW set a tone for how the switch would turn it's been a crazy turn from the WiiU.

septemberindecember788d ago

Not sure what the disagrees are about:
Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Switch Sports
BotW sequel
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
Project Triangle Strategy
Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Advance Wars 1 + 2
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Mario + Rabbids 2
Splatoon 3
Bayonetta 3
Super Mario Strikers
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Then DLC for Mario Kart 8 and Monster Hunter Rise

That's a great year IMO

This was cool. I was bored with the app announcements but that arceus dlc and last reveal were epic.

I really hope they keep the outdoor elements with the new game and the free flowing battles, I really like that it all takes place without moving to a diff screen in arceus. I hope they lean more towards arceus exploration than sword and shield exploration.

As it stands even if they don't, at least I'm happy their adding updates to arceus and as long as it's better than sword and shield I'll be happy. Didn't even complete sw&sh tbh.

I'm hyped I love the new starters look.

"the capital group of PCF Group S.A."

If you're getting funding from a group that needs two different ways of Acronyming itself, things will not go the way you want them to.

If it was more online-only crap then good riddance.

jjb19813h ago

Outriders was crap. They slapped that game together and threw in a loot system to get players' attention. This game was absolutely jank and the always online nonsense made it stutter like crazy. People Can't Optimize.

thorstein2h ago

I liked Outriders but I could see where the artistic vision was compromised. The way the industry is now, it wouldn't surprise me that upper management would scrap something that didn't pull in money via gaas, mts, or other means.

Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition Reneges on Promised Content Behind $250 Price Tag

The new Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition has the community in an outrage after promising exclusive access to the new PvE mode for $250 USD.

Christopher16h ago

$250? Do they not know all the other games that already exist or will be made in the future that can do similar?

SimpleDad7h ago(Edited 7h ago)

This is for the hardcore people that have 2500 h in the game. They basically play that one game the whole year.
Oh and those same people are mad as hell at this... what a way to reward fans of your game and annihilate newcomers.
