But I still think, they should've tried 1 last Halo sequel based on that slipspace engine, that they invested so much on but made for current gen only, before going all in on UE5.

Halo only has one hope for the future and that's moving on from 343 or whatever trash name that studio has now.

They need to form a totally new team where if you worked for 343 you aren't allowed to work there unless you were also a Bungie OG.

I kid it actually could have been great but it seems like microtransactions and selling players on more multiplayer related items became the priority.

Studio heads poorly managed the campaign while trying to milk players dry likely out of an assumption that gampass meant that gamers would need more multiplayer content to stay engaged and keep their subscriptions active to play rather than just buying the game.

Far different philosophy than Halo under Bungie where at least initially the multiplayer was an afterthought and the campaign was the meat and potatoes

It's war. Halo needs to go harder and grittier. Destructible objects and bloodier. A story reboot and a vicious enemy. A new gameplay loop that's savage and fun.

It needs another developer with better ideas. The franchise is dying under its current leadership. Used to have respect for the game. And the LAN multiplayer. Microsoft has all that money and just wasting the potential of a game that used to rival cinema in dollars.

Just sad. Don't bring it to PlayStation or Nintendo consoles without doing something new with it.

That is what I loved about Killzone 2 and 3, you were in a war and just a soldier not some special Ops guy or hero and most of the time you were with other troops around you.

Why would they release a vanilla campaign, and not follow up with more content building around that base. Yes, it didn't sell well...because you released an incomplete game. I don't get this self defeating mentality of immediately abandoning an ip if it doesn't sell out of the gate. If you have a ten year plan then part of the plan should be building those sales out of the the new content.
