Lost Ark Beats New World on Steam Charts with 983,483 Players

It’s official, Lost Ark, the Korean Action MMOARPG by Smilegate Studios has risen past “big brother” New World, just hours after the official launch with 983,483 Consecutive Players.

To be fair to New World, not saying it doesn't deserve the criticism it has gotten but South Korea has been basically beta testing Lost Ark for 2 years before the west has gotten it, with more and highly predatory practices that were toned down for the western audiences.

Kind of hard to compare a 2 year old game with a brand new one from a brand new developer.

But yes, Lost Ark is damn good.

Well deserved. My girlfriend is a casual player but she got hooked on Lost Ark almost instantly. Yesterday was the first time ever I had to ask her "maybe we should we stop playing now?" after a grinding session :D
