"The France-based indie games publisher Dear Villagers and indie games developer Midgar Studio, today announced with great pride and delight that their hit JRPG "Edge of Eternity" is now finally available for the PS5/PS4 (via PSN) and Xbox Series X/S/Xbox One (via the Microsoft Store)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Angelus Victor said: Whenever I look for games to review or to maybe just sit down and casually play, I never look at what people have to say on it. Sometimes, all it takes is some good cover art and screenshots to get me curious.
And up until now, one game has had me incredibly curious to try out. Edge of Eternity. This RPG made by Midgar Studio has always made me curious about it, and yes, I did see that it has a rather… mixed score on Metacritic. But after finally grabbing it on a sale, I decided to check if the negative reviews that it got on its release years ago were truly justified, or if this is a secret diamond in the rough.
Humble Bundle has launched a new JRPG bundle comprised of seven JRPGs. Costing a minimum of $15 USD, the following seven games are included:
Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga
Mato Anomalies
Edge of Eternity
Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
Nexomon: Extinction
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising
Dark Deity
The Humble Choice March 2023 lineup is here with games like Biomutant and Jurassic World Evolution 2. All told, players can grab eight games.
Literally just saw this on gamepass as i was scrolling to see whats new, looked interesting, i love me some turn based rpgs, although might be a while before i get to it good thing it should on GP for a while so i got time.
Gotta finish guardians of the galaxy so im ready to go for horizon and gt7 then probably eldin ring.
Ill read some reviews on it, hoping there good as im over these action based rpgs
I've been looking at this, myself. At $30, it's definitely worth the purchase. If it weren't 50+ hours, I'd get it now. I just purchased Dying Light 2, Horizon:FW, Elden Ring, Sifu, and my Steam Deck. Such a strange place to release knowing how stacked this and next month are.
Downloading now. Not too many JRPGs I'm actually into, but seems like it's worth a shot.
Gamepass makes it easy to try games I usually would overlook until dirt cheap.
Why does this thread sound like a GP advertisement? The game's reviewing fairly, and it's only $30. We got it; you wouldn't play it if it weren't on GP, but how offensive is it to the developer? You GP guys sound like a bunch of dumpster divers who only aim to play what you find while rummaging. Just enjoy the game; there's no need to keep mentioning it being on GP. Perhaps send a shout-out to the devs for daring to release their game in such a saturated release window. It takes confidence to contend against these heavy hitters. Hats off to Midgar Studio, definitely purchasing this.
I wouldn’t call mostly 6s and some 7s a hit . It’s got ok scores so far but I will buy it physically after I play Elden Ring Forbidden West , Relayer and Sifu . I’ll buy buy Dying Light 2 .with Edge of Eternity so April- May sounds about right to me . I don’t rent games so I don’t care about any rental options I have to pay a sub for .
