CG writes: What with the recent Unity acquisition of Ziva, Epic’s Unreal Engine 5 continues to shine with its MetaHuman creator demo. A recent update adds new lighting modes into the mix giving your creations some new visual splendour.
The whole point of metahuman is that it makes it much less time consuming and difficult to achieve this level of fidelity. I do doubt that it's possible for current systems to handle characters this detailed while rendering a fully interactive world, though. For a highly on-rails game like Hellblade it makes sense, but I think we'll mainly only see models this nice in cutscenes -- if at all -- for other UE5 titles.
It's all scalable. Not to mention the characters in Forbidden West already look better than this although they chose a more stylized look over complete realism.
What are you talking about? This is just some guy messing around with the presets. Every Unreal 5 dev could use this easily. Even a child could do it. That's the entire point of it.
Wow, that looks so much better than the unity junk.
Great watch yet unfortunately NO 3rd party Dev using unreal will ever put the real effort in to get the same look when playing a game.
Looks really good.
This looks a lot easier to use than Daz3d.
Imagine the porn they will be able to create on pc.
