You forgot Battelfield 2042, that's definately in the top 3 most disappointing games this year.

2042 is easily the most disappointing.

Outriders shouldnt be at No.1. Its a non gaas game and has improved a lot. I dont think people had super high expectations from it anyways.

I wasn't disappointed with Outriders, I didn't like the post-launch nerfs to things, plus my only exotic drops came from 100% boss drops (campaign to end)

I should've canceled my 2042 order after the beta (honestly) Why wasn't it included on the list? Aha they scored it 90/100 with "THE FUTURE IS NOW, OLD MAN" *The Good Classic Battlefield gameplay

I also should have cancelled my pre-order after the beta, but I got strong armed into keeping the game from my old BFV buddies. The game is just a complete travesty of what a true Battlefield game should be.

Diablo II at 3? Outriders at 1? I understand it's an opinion piece, but that opinion is awful. Even Pokemon BDSP was far from disappointing and somehow was at #4.

Returnal, Rachet & Clank, Forza Horizon 5, Metroid Dread, Deathloop, Halo Infinite, and the list goes on

Agreed. I am such a big fan of the original. After N&T, I really hoped that they had listened to the fans as I found it really crappy. But after frustrations, bugs and the complete loss of charm the other games had, I couldn't even finish Soulstorm.

Wow. BF2042's total absence is glaring to the point that I question their objectivity.

Battlefield 2042, I still play it from time to time but it's very disappointing.

For me there's been a few.
AC valhalla is the most recent since I haven't play an assassin's Creed since black flag. Really let down by the shift in combat. It's pretty much hack and slash now.

Then there's deathloop. Arkanes one of my favourite studios....really let down by this shell of a game.

Halo infinite...huge halo fan and love the gunplay but I wanted so much more from level design and story. Don't like the open world direction at all. Not a big fan of open worlds....mostly.

Can't think of others that have released this year.

Trailers were nice, the concept is awesome, but the execution is so bad.
