This work is being used to help the official remaster coming out next year so we're basically getting a partial preview - there will be other improvements on top of this like raytracing.

Yep, it's mentioned in the article but I also remember reading about this and watching a similar comparison video between the original and updated textures around a year ago.

I have gotten through to 90% of the platinum from the Day 1 rent, and man I'm waiting for the PS5 upgrade to go in with the full collection.

edit: I returned it because I was glitched from horse race trophy and would also have needed another playthrough for gwent.
