First-person shooter games pride themselves on diverse and interesting maps. A multiplayer mode may be incredibly fun, but if the arenas themselves are lackluster, it bogs down the experience. Luckily, the multiplayer mode in "Halo Infinite" is no slouch when it comes to visually and mechanically complex locations. Multiplayer gameplay in the "Halo" series is comprised of vastly different game types, including classic modes like Capture the Flag and Slayer. The maps bolster the excitement of these modes, but some arenas feel like they were clearly built with a particular mode in mind.
A new report reveals multiplayer gaming dominates the industry, with 64% of developers working on online games.
A lot of those games fail. Companies are forcing it through because they people to continuously buy microtransactions. Also they don't need to focus on any artistic elements — just throw some garbage out there and make money.
Just give us SOCOM sony! Have skins for sale (weapons) and no cartoon crap. We'll play it!
Details regarding the 10-year content plan for Xbox Game Studios and 343 Industries' Halo Infinite have allegedly been revealed.
"The story would have been expanded through yearly campaign DLC, so players would not have to wait for another mainline Halo title." ~ this seldom works
But I still think, they should've tried 1 last Halo sequel based on that slipspace engine, that they invested so much on but made for current gen only, before going all in on UE5.
The biggest voices of Xbox’s Halo franchise have been told nothing about the multiple new games in development.
Call me a cynic. But it seems that not even the people working in the studio know what’s the status of Halo.
They were going to add a BR mode, which then got cancelled, but now it’s a sequel to infinite, but may be a reboot of the first game?
It may be normal for development to be like this as super Mario galaxy started as cut content from Mario 128, which then became a tech demo, which became pikmin, which eventually became Mario galaxy.
But 343 or whatever they are called now-certainly don’t have a good track record so it makes me wonder what’s happening.
I'd be much more comfortable with the future of Halo if "343" or whatever they call themselves now were no longer in charge of the series.
This list is brought to you by a Bronze 6. I kid, we all have preference, but Aquarius #10? : (
