I hope they pay millions... So much hype...

anast958d ago

They pulled some seriously shady stuff.

dbcoops958d ago

The games issues aside which I completely get peoples gripes about and by and large agree with but you have to appreciate the irony of being sued by investors who are the same people that more than likely put pressure on CDPR to release the game in its broken unfinished state.

TriniOutsider958d ago

Well, CDPR already stated they weren't pressured to release the game early. CDPR had the time to work on their game. They over
promised and under-delivered.

oldenjon958d ago

Yeah was gonna say this too but then I don't think investors handle marketing and PR. CDPR bit off more than they could chew, I'm sure they got investor's expectations up just like everyone else's.

Magog958d ago

The game made a huge amount of money. Isn't that all the investors should care about?

rdgneoz3958d ago

It made a ton of money, but they're greedy and trying to nitpick for more money...

From a year ago: "As of 20 December 2020, the game sold over 13 million copies worldwide. It had the biggest digital game launch of all time, selling 10.2 million digital units and grossing $609 million in digital sales as of 31 December 2020."

And that's before the recent updates...

GamingManiac958d ago

Just ignoring the crazy amount of people getting full refund?

Magog958d ago

Very few people actually requested refunds.

TheEnigma313958d ago

Well it messed things up for the future of the company. Consumer trust is gone.

EazyC953d ago

CDPR did the unforgivable with this game, but my heart doesn't exactly bleed for these pricks, either. Publicly-trading gaming companies has been a MASSIVE contributor to the horrific state of gaming.

For me, these Mario + Rabbids games were the best thing Ubisoft has developed in recent years. I'd hate to see Ubisoft drive the series into the ground like their other properties, so I think 2 games are enough. Maybe 1 more.

Inverno14h ago

They can't ruin it because Ninty will send their ninjas to destroy all traces of it. If not for that you can bet that spinoff series would've been milked dry by now.

Good luck in your future endeavors

Thank you for Mario + Rabbids series, I quite enjoyed it

Einhander197218h ago

Great games, I have wanted Sony to copy these games with their own mascots for years.

I think Nintendo has to hire this guy, I mean the fact that miuamoto himself said to him that he is impressed with this work, speaks volumes. Th possibility on having Mario on Soliani's hand could be incredible and quite possibly a new era for Mario games.

OtterX15h ago(Edited 15h ago)

Yea, these games didn't even feel Ubisoft at all. This felt very authentic Nintendo. This guy's direction is obviously stellar, and Ubisoft somehow managed to not kill it with microtransactions and repetitive, boring tasks.
