While Crimson Desert has been delayed, a new gameplay video has been leaked online, showcasing the graphics of its current beta build.
Can’t wait to play this on my PS4.. it will probably blow up haha
Who is the dev?
Pearl Abyss, last game being Black Desert online (which was a looker for its time/MMO).
still is the best looking mmo
Interested in this . Although I love MMOs my wife doesn’t and I can’t play casually . I have to be all in or nothing , so single player it is for me . It looks good hopefully the gameplay matches the graphics , it looks like it will.
Crimson Desert isn't MMO. Black Desert Online will remain as the long running MMO of the studio. Black Desert and Crimson Desert are two separate projects.
That’s what I meant . I can’t play the MMO but I can play this , my wording was poor
When I was a kid, I had a fantasy of a "fantasy game" that I always envisioned in my mind and honestly, this game so far is really hitting a lot of those spots for me. I hope it turns out as good as I hope.
Believe it or not, that actually WAS one of them kinda. I imagined being able to walk through areas with dynamic weather and possibly seasons with leaves falling off just being in this rich, vibrant environment. Skyrim came close but only due to having hundreds of high end mods that made my game unstable. The only thing I'm not 100% fan of is the fighting in this game, it's way too....Korean MMO. I'm not asking for Kingdom Come levels of combat, that's a bit much but it trades in weight and "realism" for all 1000% style and I'm afraid it'll end up lacking substance. Oh and way too much damn motion blur, seriously wtf is with devs and motion blur? Stop it already.
Play Ghost of tsushima looks like this, and you have every area with a different feel to it and leaves falling from the trees and all that you envisioned.
Looks amazing. Take as much time as you need to release it in a good state.
A high end PC will do wonders for this game in ray tracing
looks like the terrible pop in from Black Desert is still in this (they pan the camera up so it's harder to notice in the video, and only do still or slow moving shots when it's panned down to hide it) Still the graphics otherwise are amazing. Glad they are taking the time to do this one right.
Gamers should expect and accept no less in this day and age. to their credit, impressive work, and i hope it remains that way.
It's been so dry for any new gaming media so it's nice to actually see something(outside of elden ring) even if i'm not really interested in the actual game, so I'll take it. When's the game awards again? There better be some actual gameplay because i'm getting tired of just seeing CGI trailers for games that are coming next year but actually in three years, like for real. Give me something.
Definitely looks promising but I wouldn't use the word amazing here..
I wouldn't either since they don't show combat at all. Just nice scenery
Flexing the animations! I dig it, good animations sell me 100% of the time. The seasonal time lapse looked great. That’s the start of something special. I got “the child of fable and dragons dogma” vibes.
I don’t think it looks much better than the Witcher 3. The weather and wind is what makes it look good. Everything else looks like The Witcher 3+
I would say it is a pretty significant leap of Witcher 3. While this game looks great, Ghost of Tsushima already achieved what we are seeing in this tech demo. Still patiently waiting to see what gen 9 can bring to the table when it is no longer chained to gen 8.
Really? This reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima, that game had amazing weather effects and scenery mostly driven by a more than competent particle system. This isn't ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination.
Most likely online-only, so no buy for me unfortunately.
I guess here's where I tag out and admit I need a better computer
My only concern is gameplay and narrative. As far as graphics go, this game has already impressed even with the first trailer.
That’s some cool weather effects, can’t wait to see what next gen proper brings.
Google gameplay vid. One went up months ago and it looked stunning
