The Home Team Are working up a list of the errors and should have them early next week.
Although they shouldn't have had this problem in the first place, it's good to see the devs getting on top of the errors such as C-913
Let me direct you to the Home logo when you boot up your PS3. Click on it and take a close look at the icon. What do you see on the upper right hand side of the icon? "Beta". Yeah, nobody ever has any issues in a beta now do they... Sorry, but to even think for two seconds that something like this would not have had or should not have had any issues on launch is simply a delusional thought.
In a service like home , beta or not, the most important aspect of social networking must never be overlooked: THE ABILITY TO LOG IN!!! Ever since home launched yesterday I've only been able to connect for 2 hours, between 3 and 5 AM this morning. 2 FREAKING HOURS!!! I'm writing these lines at 8PM local time and I haven't been able to connect all day. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! Why even bother releasing such a frustrating mess? As it stands right now, HOME is a complete and utter failure!
Yes it's a beta, but how the hell can it be tested if nobody can friggin log in? I had the private beta for a month or so before the open one started, never had a problem connecting. The devs knew this would be a popular service when the beta went open, yet the servers still couldn't handle it, just like SOCOM. Whilst I can accept glitches in the actual game of a beta, not being able to connect at all is pretty unacceptable.
One other lesson you should learn is that in any attempt at being objective, you should never use absolutes to describe an ever changing social network. Sorry, but Home is not a complete and utter failure despite your short sighted view of it. It is in fact the first of its kind for any one single console and those of us that consider ourselves mature enough to be truly objective about Home knew that there would be issues such as these. Well and good enough, Sony is taking a look at the issues and are fixing them. Heck, for me alone, I spent much time in Home already as have many of my friends. It is this that leads me to believe that what you are simply getting at here is that you are just pissed off and have no grasp on what the scope was for a project such as Home... @ kharma45 I logged on and created my avy in no time. There are many who have logged in and thus prove that perhaps it's a capacity issue (among other things). In any case, it is a beta and as long as some are getting in and the devs are actively working the issues, the complaints here are moot.
SHORT SIGHTED?! If I can't log in what is there for me to see? Of course my point of view is short sighted! And I don't care how you spin it - a social network where you can't connect and... well... socialize, can only be described as a failure. End of story. Period. It's like buying a plane with no wings: good intentions and promises won't get it off the ground. EDIT: BTW I'm not pissed off, I'm ******* FURIOUS! 3 years in the making and this is it? THIS IS IT?! And don't talk down on me because your intellect is not above mine. I understand the scope of this project fully well.
What server are you using? The US or EU? As I'm using the EU, and it could be a more 'local' problem. (Another SCEE fudge up)
That's my guess to. Just another SCEE screw up, as usual. 16.000 people about to lose their jobs at SONY and yet these guys persist.
i have full respect for the home team i cant wait for the future on home
damn C-3PO,s brother! i knew he was at the bottom of this!!! DAMN YOU TO HELL C-913!!!!
Cool.. Fair enough.. God to know they are working on it.. (Why shouldnt they)..

It's in the upstairs area in the Mall.
Error: Epic Fail!
Ha, Sony home full of error messages, looks like the Patchstation 3 strikes again.
Hopefully nobody's 360 RROD's this Christmas... and even then lets all pray Xbox Live doesn't crash for a month again this year. ^_^ But its okay for console systems to have a 33% failure rate, and its okay for a paid service to be out of service for a whole month... but its a SIN for a free beta service such as Home to have problems when 14 million users try to log in at the same time!
I've been trying to login for a while now and it just wont let me, c-913 error. This is silly, I know its a beta and everything but how can we actually participate in a beta if it wont even let us in, I didnt have these problems with NXE and I shouldnt be having these problems with Home. Sony, you need to hire some better netcoders.
Because NXE is not an OS update, its an online social community. -_-"
BETA nuff said, stop the whining ffs i can't take it anymore.
...there tends to be a huge difference between reality and the exaggerations. It isn't that "EVERYBODY" is having login problems. After all, I logged in without any problems at all. I had only one error once... and it was C-991, and it happened when I tried to enter my own home space. Once I re-connected and tried again, everything was fine. Also, when I was in Home, there were TONS of people in there. And having experience in the closed beta, I know that they run instances... so there must be a HUGE amount of people successfully getting into Home and using it. So, while it is unfortunate for those who are unable to get into Home at all, this isn't a problem "across the board"... this is the type of thing to expect from a flood of new beta testers. It's not fun... it's upsetting... but it's not something that "should never have happened." Once they rip the beta label off... then yes, it shouldn't happen.
