New World Devs Give Response Over Endgame Changes

Players can very likely expect further changes and readjustments made to New World's balancing in the near future.

SinisterMister1300d ago

I could be wrong but this is something that you tweak during the main development of the game. Why are they making players feel "relieved" on such a fundamental aspect of the game now?

RabbitFly1300d ago

It might be a bad trend, but this is standard for any service like game and it has been for the history of mmos.

Even super successful games such as WOW had a famously bad end game at launch.

I guess it kind of makes sense too. Since most of the players experience will be the progression to end game When the game is New. It is where most of the effort and budget gets located before launch. Post launch When end game becomes the driving factor in retaining players the focus changes.

If they were gonna get into game development. They should've started with single player games imo

Is it really a review bomb if the game deserves it?

Might get me to try it out since I hate playing MMOs on PC.

I liked MMO’s on PC back in the day but I do prefer console these days. I may check this out

What makes a console MMO more preferable to a PC one?

Christopher365d ago

Better controls (I hate keyboard heavy games) and no need for chat communication. So, mostly a preference of how I want to enjoy my online games. I don't want to be typing or clicking buttons. Just holding a controller, chatting when I want (but hearing others when needed in raids even if I'm not). It also tends to be a much better UI. Lot less clutter without the unnecessary hot bars and chat UI and whatnot. Most PC-focused MMOs have a lot of button pressing for abilities that doesn't make it more fun, just more tedious I find.
