You're thinking of the human players. The AI has at least a little class.

Realistically, they wouldn't actually use the results where the AI was using the bumper technique to save time in laps, but it is a viable tactic so it's likely something that popped up in the results repeatedly. haha.

With deep learning, the results are more human-like if you have a good training set, and all the stimuli provided in these experiments are "more-or-less the same cues as a human player" because the study was about driving at human speeds, unlike their previous study.

This ain't your dad's GT AI. "The visual learning AI quickly beat the lap times generated by GT Sport‘s own AI" by the time it had ran around 350-500 laps. I'm wondering if any of this will actually be in GT7 at launch.
