HPP: "Even though the story serves as yet another example of why one shouldn’t trifle with time travel, the fun involved makes turning the clock back to 1995 seem pretty enticing. From solid physics to flawlessly detailed environments, Time Loader takes the player on a wild ride through the past and launches the neglected 2D puzzle-platformer genre into the future like a speeding DeLorean leaving flame trails in its wake."
Time Loader won't blow puzzle fans away by any means, but it's a nice and relaxing enough trek through a time period that's so vastly overlooked in favor of the decades between the 40s and 80s we see so much of, though its caveats and slow-paced nature will likely bore more than entertain, and it's a shame when a lot of detail has clearly been put into its level design despite the lack of graphical fidelity on Nintendo Switch.
Middle of Nowhere Gaming writes, "Time Loader is a small story-driven puzzle-platformer where you go back in time and explore a ‘90s house full of nostalgia and throwbacks. Though some of the puzzles linger a bit, the surprisingly dark tone and ambient audio intrigued me to explore the story of Time Loader."
FLAZM Games’ Time Loader makes its way to consoles, and brings with it a neat puzzle-platforming time loop, mixing narrative with sentimental details and environmental physics to create a charming experience. Who knew that claw hands and cats would be such a great combo?
