Was such a good game. Lost a little bit of steam by the last couple of chapters, but still definitely worth playing through. Some good scares in this game for those who can handle them. Highly recommend.

BrockEmSockEm1321d ago

Agreed. I enjoyed the first 2 chapters they released, and then one was meh, and the other was pretty good. Worth the $20 I paid. Somewhat filled that Silent Hills P.T. void.

I still can't get past the beginning with the faceless naked crowd of people huddled outside of the elevator, everywhere you go there are those things walking around with no ability to escape them. I looked up a guide and you basically have to cheese it somehow but then there's no direction on where to go in the maze of a building.

ScootaKuH1321d ago (Edited 1321d ago )

Yes but does it "fade to grey" at the end?

OK, bad 80s pop reference, I apologise. My excuse is that it's early in the morning here and I still haven't woken up properly.

PapaBop1321d ago

I'm still waiting for official VR support.. this game feels like it was built for VR.

Is psychological horror the new name for the horror hide games with no combat? I would to see that used more so I don’t waste my time looking at them.

Nacho_Z1321d ago (Edited 1321d ago )

I think that's pretty accurate yeah. This trailer seems a bit disingenuous in that half of it shows axes and sledgehammers being swung which implies action but I doubt there's any combat.

It does look like a top drawer non combat horror game to be fair but I know what you mean, I'm in the same boat.

Edit: at 1:05 they can't spell Dualsense, not great for an official trailer.

sourOG1321d ago

Yeah I’m not hating on them it’s just not my thing. I’m a huge horror fan so when I see “new horror game” and it’s these type of explore and avoid type of games it’s a letdown for me. They get old really quick to me. The only psychological horror game I ever liked was SOMA.

Rocosaurus1321d ago

Great. Just in time for Game Pass.

dreamed1321d ago

The xs Upgrade has been out for weeks?....the control system is horrible in this game....I think it was LT /L1to run....who does that?

They really should give you a 30 day notice on games leaving. At this point you only have a few weeks

They do. But you gotta have something to complain about I guess 🤷

crazyCoconuts998d ago

Please find an article older than a day ago that states, say that The Somnium Files are leaving GamePass and I'll gladly admit my error.

TGGJustin998d ago (Edited 998d ago )

They never give you a 30 day heads up. Games leave the service twice a month; once in the middle and once at the end. You get a two week heads up each time before games leave. So when these games leave at the end of the month you'll find out which games are leaving in the middle of October and have 2 weeks to play them. As of right now no one knows which games those will be.

If you are going to try and say someone is complaining and tell them they're wrong maybe be sure you got your facts straight.

Xristo998d ago

If you have Game Pass, they tell you on the front page which games are leaving soon and the date. Only those who don’t have GP rely on websites for that info.

crazyCoconuts998d ago

So you're saying on the app, these games were announced as leaving at the beginning of September, but still somehow all the websites reporting on the games leaving just started doing so like a day ago. And all the articles reporting the games leaving at the beginning of September left these same games out for some reason. I mean, it's possible but would be really weird

MadLad998d ago

They have their games up for 6 months to a year, or even more than that.

The majority of the people who wanted to play those titles would have already.

I know backlog happens, but still. If you're interested in playing a game, you shouldn't wait even six months and complain you didn't have enough time to play it.

theindiearmy998d ago

They used to. Now half a month seems to be the trend for some reason.

Jericho1337998d ago

2 weeks is enough notice. Plus if you really want to keep playing then buy it.

So your not up to date with the service you pay for since it’s listed on the front page. You would like random 3rd party websites you don’t pay for to write an article for you to remind you and maybe keep writing daily update articles in case you miss it.

Well good for you Phil has rented a car and plane with signs to circle your house daily to remind you. In addition the power company will be adding the service for you shortly.

The best would be full dates of starting and ending. Fan boys saying that’s not desired. Now most people get their value for the service so it kind of seems worthwhile to put up with 2 to 4 weeks but certainly it’s not desirable.
