Might pick up Life is Strange. Is it worth at the discounted $49.99 price?

If you liked the first couple, maybe. It got good reviews, but I felt a little let down by it. I think a lot of it has to do with the feeling that there's not a whole lot of new places to explore in each episode as it's almost entirely in the small town section with a couple of different shops available later. The story was pretty good. Haven't played the DLC, Wavelengths yet. Unless you're dying for something to play, you can probably get it cheaper later.

Yeah I think I'll wait for a better sale

Some people like it, I thought those games were terrible. Literally some of the worst writing I'd ever seen. It felt like it was written by a forty year old man who failed horribly to depict the perspective of a teenage girl. It feels like it was written for teenage girls, but honestly fails in that regard as well. If you liked the games, then you'll probably like this one. Personally, I just don't get it. It seems like they do everything they can do force these games into something resembling popularity, but I dunno, lol.

First one was pretty good, but too much on the nose with the LGBT angle (no issues with it at all, but for a game based on choice it kinda seemed you made the wrong one if you didn't choose to hook up with Chloe rather than Warren, for example), Chloe was mildly annoying and the "save Chloe" ending is atrociously bad, Jesus.

Second one was a borefest. The spin-off with Chloe is equally tedious, albeit Rachel is a nice character and kinda of makes up for it.

This one seems decent, but it looks like it did not manage to grasp what made the first one so great.

Seems expensive. The first and prequel were only $20 or so. They were worth the money at that price. I don't see how much they could have changed the formula to charge $50 for this one.

This is a bit of a tangent but the soundtrack for the first game is fucking phenomenal. I legit still listen to it to this day.
