Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 coming to current-gen consoles in Q1 / Q2 2022

Cyberpunk should have been a next gen only game in my opinion.

The launch was a disaster and the world feels broken even after the many fixes. Its a real shame because I sat through and completed it due to the many positives about it.. it just deserved so much better. The potential is has is wide, they just didn't grasp it.

It's an INCREDIBLE game that came out too early and unpolished. It looks gorgeous in Series X already and I don't expect much of an upgrade from there.

It does look good on Series X. But on PC there's significant graphical upgrades. Raytracing, shadows, anti aliasing, and a bunch of other stuff. If they can bring some of that stuff over and keep the 60fps option I'll be happy.

1 game that was launched in early doesn't mean the company is now utterly incapable of making games. Rockstar had to delay GTA 5 on Playstation and Xbox as well. It happens. Cyberpunk was a really good game that came out really buggy. That is it. It ain't end of the world.
I just find it really funny that the entire gaming community was like "yeah guys delays are fine" after Cyberpunk's launch and now you people are losing your shit over it.

Delays are not fine, it’s mean that the Dev did bad planification and that they work on a style of game that they are not use to. They should had plan better with less ´never seen before gameplay and tech ´

Still no DLC and the ps5 update I don’t think they are working hard on it . There is not enough ps5 and Xbox sold for them to work full time on a ps5 update.

I still have a little bit of work to do in the Blood and Wine expansion. I am really looking forward to the update for the better loading times more than anything. The rest will be icing on the cake.

They should only do Cyberpunk if it's basically a total revamp and what they had originally envisioned for the game, every single bit of cut content because of time constraints or lack of technology should be put back in

Not sure about last-gen, but on PS5 it isn't horrible.

It's mostly just a lot of little bugs at this point. Lots of distant objects just pop in. I think there was one side-quest that is easily bugged and can't be completed.

I play the last patch 1.31 (I think) on the PS4 Slim and while it is a bit better is some areas, it is awful when it comes to pop-in. Have they released a new patch yet?

Saw this coming a mile away. They have a lot to prove with the current gen release of Cyberpunk for me to even consider it (haven't played it yet). Hope they take the time to get the game to what they promised. I was so pumped for this game and it stung when the real reports starting coming in.

Haven't played W3 yet either so I'll probably pick that up when the price is decent.

I'm not saying CDPR should renege on their promise of delivering a next-gen version of this game (personally I felt outright scammed by Cyberpunk 2077), part of me thinks "don't even bother"... the game is SUCH a write off that there's no real point of doing a next-gen version because the fundamentals of the game are just a joke. So what if this turd looks a bit shinier and now has fancier rain effects? The quests stink, the characters suck, the driving is woeful, and the city has zero interactivity.... that my friends, cannot be fixed.

Releasing genre defining games that are a massive success is good for us, but bad in the long run. Because most devs get lazy after this and it all goes to their head while they continue to pile in money from a game released 10 years ago.

I have three remarks to share:

1. That studio is broken, shattered and diffucult to glue back togethere. Just think about it. A year and they couldn't make a PS5/XX version of Cyberpunk? What excluse they have left? The fact they were busy on efficiently fixing all the bugs in original release of Cyberpunk? If it doesn't yell "management disaster" then I don't know what would. If you have any shares in CDPR, you'd better lose your rose-tinted glasses and sell whatever you have left. This studio is dead and rotting.

2. Cyberpunk on PS5/XX already barely work at 60fps with current version of the game. To every wise gamer, 60fps is more nextgen than 30fps with no matter what graphics upgrade, and it's not like they'll make everything from scratch. They'll just adopt more details from PC version, slap 30fps cap, maybe add some partial raytracing here and there and that will be it. Don't expect superb nextgen version running at 60fps at modern resolution (1440p+ at least in terms of pixel count, cause they'll surely use some TAA)

3. What a brilliant move to re-release Witcher 3. The company which once had billions in marketing value thanks to their gamer-friendly image. That now dead image of a company would make you think they will simply release a patch adding 60fps mode to PS4/Xone versions which could add some details from PC version and that's it. For free. But instead, you're forced to use the oldest unpatched disc version to even get 60fps on PS5 and you are expected to spend money again. This would've been a good idea in terms of profits for CDPR, BUT they destroyed their "good guys" PR image and they can wave good-bye to the idea of people buying the new PS5 version even if they are not sure they should. You know, just to support the studio they love so much.
Now? Everyone already played this game. It's everywhere, from past-gen consoles to current-gen consoles via backward compatibility, and even on Switch. The game was on sale so many times. It's just a very, very stupid idea to re-release it. They should've added it to the Witcher 4 if the studio lives long enough to ever release it in distant future or make a remake one day, at the end of PS5/XX life cycles or for the PS6?Xbox5.

The management seems to be completely blindfolded and lost.

It would be good to know what they are actually going to do to make Witcher 3 a next gen game they hired some mod teams and plan to introduce ray tracing not much else is known.

Cyberpunk is meant to just be a PC port so we know what to expect there. Id like to see a rebalanced games but that won't happen

Cd project red is more and more looking like a guy who owes you money, always delaying to pay you back, in their case is their launches, and can't even understand why delay the Witcher, wasn't the idea to release the game with the netflix series?
