Unlike a lot of modern games, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles most of the content is initially locked.
Is it still a fighting game? If so then pass.
Whatever you'd consider Naruto Ultimate Ninja storm, that's what it is. It's a carbon copy with Demon slayer paint
basically. I only played a little Naruto when that first came out, though, I did buy the trilogy a month or two back. While I'm not a big fan of the fighting genre anymore I did enjoy the few chapters I played of Demon Slayer last night. The two glaring issues I have is how slow you traverse and to some degree the lack of story integration into the game. The snails pace you run at when in a traversable environment is just irritating. Overall I definitely wish it was more akin to an action game with fighting style boss fights. But hey, it's something different and fun so I'll get my enjoyment out of it. Probably should've just held off and bought it later though as I doubt I'll find $60 worth out of it personally.
thanks for the reply. I can't enjoy fighting games because what made them special for me was playing in person with someone. Nowadays I don't really have anyone to fight with so there's no enjoyment really. I don't find fighting a random person on the internet fun at all. If it was a full up action game or an rpg I would like it to the point of purchasing. However, that's not the case. Thanks for the help deciding not to buy it.
@Phoenixwing i mean, i get bored easily of fighting games but demon slayer is a good grab if you're a fan or haven't witnessed some parts of the story like i did (skipped from episode 2 to 9 or so)
The anime is great I have seen some game play on Twitch seems like it follows the anime but it plays like Naruto. I would consider grabbing the game at a cheaper price.
Hopefully shorter than its title
It's a fighting game, so normally replayability is a given. Doesn't matter how long the 'story' takes to beat. Still doesn't justify the $70 price they're asking for.
where are they asking $70? because even the PS5 version is $60. quick look, seems the PS4 version is only $50 at amazon & walmart; not sure about other retailers.
On PC, the only version that was available was a $70 fancy one with costumes and whatnot. Now that the game is out, they are offering a standard copy for $60.
