It's been announced for the Switch as well which pretty much confirms that the graphical improvements will be minor and gameplay will be pretty much the same, which is really annoying, especially after Take Two went after all of those people that made GTA 3 and Vice City mods.

Yes, the graphical improvements will be minor, but that may open up the possibility of 4K/60fps WITH raytracing. Rockstar could handle it the same way Insomniac did with Miles Morales (PS4 version has no raytracing, but the PS5 version does).

It'd be incredible to play 3, Vice City and SA with up to date graphics and gameplay. Sadly this will be nothing like that and I doubt we'll ever see it happen. Too much effort for the payoff.

Day 1 for me. I don't care too much if they don't do major graphical upgrades etc., just increase the res, use the PC textures, and modernize the gameplay a bit (e.g. the shooting controls in GTA3-VC-SA were awful on console).

I am cautiously optimistic about this. I've been wanting to play GTA3 and Vice City again for awhile but I'd still like the games to look and control as they did with only upscaled resolution being the difference. I feel this should be the case when they say "still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals".

I'm pretty excited to actually see some footage from these games I consider them among my most favourite gaming experiences to date I still have a lot of questions like

What is this actually going to look like what makes it definitive?

Are they bringing back the cut music tracks we lost to licensing expiration?

Will there be a physical release?

Will we actually get it this year GTA anniversary is coming soon.

Also they are removing the older games from digital storefronts is this hinting at a free upgrade or are they just preventing the purchase of the old version because it's to similar.

And please let war drum studios come no where near this

People are going to be very disappointed when they see the games. The character models looked pretty much the only thing that had been given a semi decent upgrade. The rest of it looked pretty embarrassing for a game from Rockstar… remember this isn’t the same Rockstar we grew up with.

At least they are using a new engine UE4. Still it has terrible AA it's usually TAA but on the PC at least you can disable it or forcefully disable it in the engine.ini under system settings.

Don't have an issue with the graphics. The controls however are archaic. I much prefer the shooting perspective and system from GTA V. If this was incorporated I'm all in.

After expanded and enhanced video I'm being very cautious around Rockstar some already hope that all the lack of SP content for GTA V was because of their work on remastering 3 games.
But if these turned out to be like no more than Tomb Raider Definitive edition then oh boy.

I can finally play san andreas because my playstation 2 memory card kept corrupting my save and i had to start over twice so i gave up on the game and never played it again.
