Back during the height of the Sony PSP, SEGA released two spin-off Yakuza titles starring a totally new and younger protagainst named Tatsuya Ukyo. SEGA called the series “Yakuza: Black Panther” (Kurohyō: Ryū ga Gotoku Shinshō). Of course the games never came out in English and have been exclusive to Japan.
2017 is a big year for the Yakuza series! Yakuza 0 was released back on January 24, and now Yakuza Kiwami is coming to the PlayStation 4 on August 29. Now is the perfect time to get into the series. But before people do, they may be wondering what they should know about these games. Cue an extensive explanation!
That it's an awesome series, and that it's not like GTA at all (something many people assume when they first see it).
You need to know that if you are curious about the series, go out and buy a Yakuza 0. You may thank me later.
That it's amazing? Didn't even know the series exist until the release of Yakuza 0. At that time I have nothing to play to I gave it a try. And wow the story is just amazing. It's so interesting that I didnt even do any side missions or side content of the game.
If you're reading this and you still didn't get to play Yakuza. I recommend you play it. The story is 11 out of 10.
