Great fit for Switch! But these are the cloud version only.

Eonjay62d ago

Yeah that part sucks. Also I don't think these are the complete versions like PS4.

Chevalier62d ago

I can understand part 3, but, why the heck are part 1 and 2 also on cloud? They were PS2 games originally

Inverno63d ago

"cloud version". How unbelievably disappointing.

Sgt_Slaughter63d ago

The fact that every game before 3 is a Cloud version is lazy IMO. All of the HD remixes could be played on the PS3 of all systems, so it for sure can work on Switch.

Hell, I'm pretty sure Kingdom Hearts 3 could be made to work natively since Unreal Engine 4 works well on Switch.

AspiringProGenji63d ago

UE4 is scalable but the Switch can’t still run KH3.

Zhipp62d ago

I dunno. I feel like, if the switch can run DOOM + Eternal and the Witcher 3, it could run KH3 too. That's if they were willing to put in the substantial amount of work such a port would require.

Yui_Suzumiya62d ago

I'm pretty damn sure it could run 3 if it can also run Doom Eternal, Dying Light and The Witcher 3, lol

AspiringProGenji63d ago

I thought Sakurai said that only KH3 was going to be cloud streaming? Why are old ass PS2 fanes not native on the Switch?

Eonjay63d ago

I guess they are bassed on the updated PS4 releases.

Yeah, very weird that I'd be able to play a native version on the Steam Deck when I get mine in the coming months, but if I wanted to play them on my Switch it would require streaming them?

Sure, Steam Deck will be more powerful. And while not all tflops are equal, at least the PC specs for KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX includes the R7 240 as an acceptable GPU. That released in 2013 with about 0.5 tflops of power. The Switch's Tegra X1 is in that same ballpark, but at least using somewhat newer architecture. Seems like they could make native versions, even with the more modest Switch hardware. Definitely a bizarre choice.

Outlawzz63d ago

If they were physical or even digital I would buy them. But cloud is a no go for me. We ain't there yet lol maybe in the next decade cloud will be viable
