Feast your eyes on the Crysis Remastered Trilogy PC, PS4, and XB1 Launch Trailer! Crysis Remastered Trilogy is coming to PC and consoles on 15 October. Get ready to experience three iconic games and be prepared to save the world thrice.
This trailer is all captured on PC so it's technically not the console trailer.as evident by the captured on PC watermark. I keep hoping to hear news about an official PS5 edition using hardware accelerated ray tracing and taking advantage of the ps5 sdk but the reality is this looks like a quick cash in and I have no idea how crytek are ignoring new generation consoles both PS and Xbox are last gen games running in backwards compatibility mode. Plays great on next gen simply means the frame rate will be locked while you enjoy the PS4 pro version on ps5 or the x1x version on xsx or the X1 version on the xss.
I think you’re misunderstanding quite what the next-gen implementation is. Yes, they’re not native ports so they are limited to what extent they can use the ps5 and series x, but they do have enhancements under the backwards compatibility layer specifically targeting them. If we look to the first Crysis remaster, the Pro and PS5 versions were not running at the same resolution and neither were the Xbox One X and Series X versions and this wasn’t just because of brute force GPU powering through DRS. This was them adjusting the resolution values themselves specifically when the game detects it’s being run on the ps5 or Series X. Is it disappointing? Yes. Is it just the same as the pro versions or the one x version just running better through brute force backwards compatibility? No.
So, how is this different from Crisis 1 Remastered? Can the games be bought separate as I don't want to buy 1 again.
It's just that you get 2/3 ok top.of the same 1 remaster. They did say you could buy 2/3 individually if you own 1 though
"Also plays well on PS5...." WTH??? I loved the Crysis series and would gladly purchase... but not with that kind of statement. I'll be waiting for Digital Foundry's review.
