Welp, guess it's finally time to delve into LoU2. I don't like the direction they took it, but it's definitely worth trying.
Victor Vran is a lot of fun.

And I know it's still cool to hate on 76, but it's actually a pretty fun time nowadays, after many of the issues have been fixed, and they added actual NPCs and more RPG elements.
It's a deeper RPG than Fallout 4 at this point.

Either way, a lot of solid gets for Now.

Mr Logic1026d ago

Wow.

"I don't like the direction they took it, but it's definitely worth TRYING."

People are totally allowed to not like TLoU2, that's fine. But how the hell are you going to not like something without even having TRIED IT. SMH

MadLad1026d ago

The first game is literally one of my favorites, a lot to do with the story.
Knows the outline of the sequel and doesn't like how they took the narrative.

Willing to give the game a go, but already knows they won't like the story.

Yes. So hard to put two and two together.

TheDoomedGuy1026d ago

It's a story driven game. If you've already been spoiled the story and now all the details or most of them then you don't actually need to play it to know if you'll like it.

I'm sure he'll like the gameplay of course. Also the graphics and voice acting.

This is the INTERNET.

Everybody knows everything.

"But how the hell are you going to not like something without even having TRIED IT. SMH"

What if I offered you my used underwear and you refused...and I responded with "How can you determine that you aren't interested in wearing my used underwear if you haven't even tried it on!?"

You don't always need to "try" something out to determine that it isn't for you.

The word "pathetic" best describes you, mate. Can't believe you've been at this for well over a year now.

@LOGICWINS

***"What if I offered you my used underwear and you refused...and I responded with "How can you determine that you aren't interested in wearing my used underwear if you haven't even tried it on!?""***

What kind of false equivalency is that? A person not wanting to wear a used underwear has nothing to do with the quality of the underwear itself, but the fact that wearing a used underwear from someone else is unsanitary. Wow man

@Outside_ofthe_Box

Right? Where were these children educated that they can't even make a coherent argument without reducing it to ridiculous non sequiturs?

CorndogBurglar1025d ago

It's very easy to look up the story online. He said he doesn't like the direction they took. He didn't say he doesn't like the game. Which is why he is going to try it now. He will likely not like the story, because it sounds like he already knows what happens. But he might still enjoy the game overall.

This isn't rocket science.

Oh no welp, you just might like it.

Profchaos1026d ago

There's a but of misdirection in the advertising I actually didn't like what I saw in the previews or ads but once I played it I found it pretty enjoyable.

Also I just picked up 76 for under $5 I'm a fan of the series and so far I'm about 25 levels in and I still have mixed feelings about some things in the game I've been playing it entirely solo and it's felt alright some days I'm loving the game other days it's boring depending on the quest I'm grinding out it can be either a true fallout style quest or wow grind fest quest.

It's not anywhere near as good as a single player fallout enemy levels are frustrating seems that enemies everywhere just match your level or exceed it (going back to even the starting zone will bring with it super mutants that are ammo spunges) fast travel can get expensive and there's still a fair few bugs like enemies in t poses, everything is super expensive you need to get resource management to a fine art and you're forced to do things like building your camp to farm things like adhesives and usable items which was my most hated part of fallout 4 but there's something enjoyable about it.

Atticus_finch1025d ago (Edited 1025d ago )

Criticize one game because the story doesn't cater to his feelings.
But has no problem defending a game like fallout76.
Never change Teddy.

I had the platinum in less than a month after it came out .. it was the only highly anticipated Sony game during the entire PS4 life cycle that I had .. 10/10 from me

Was thinking of getting PS Now lately. Then they add TLOU2 now? Hmmm 🤔🤔. May break soon.

Honestly there is no reason not to get PS Now. For $60 a year if you pay up-front (Most of time you can find a discount online as well), the price of ONE video game, you are getting access to hundreds of games, with 2-3 new additions every month. Even if you only play 20-30 hours total from the service A YEAR, it's worth the price.

Yes, 100% it's not anywhere near the value and quality of GamePass considering exclusives are included and many Day 1 third party games launch on that service. But it is a really great value nevertheless. It should be evaluated on it's own, not just compared. I own both services and it's roughly $200 a year well invested. I probably buy 70% less games than I used to just because of the variety and quantity between the two services. Only if it's an IP that I'm dying to play on release.

WOW!
This totally proves that TLOU2 is an abysmal FAILURE and Angry Joe was 100% right to completely trash it like the garbage it is BEFORE it came out due to the leaks!
Only terrible games end up on PS Now according to the internet!

0/10, even though I've never played it. I'm basing my negative opinion on those leaks and other people's views!

MrNinosan1026d ago

Seems people don't understand sarcasm when it's obvious, but yes I agree with you.
People say it sold shit even thou most of us know it's not true, and PSNow is just shit even if we who actually subscribes to the service know that's not true.

I'm a happy subscriber to both GP and PSNow and happily so.

PSNow has given we loads of great games to play, and so did GP aswell, at least with Octopath Traveler and Yakuza Like a Dragon.

Go look at the sales numbers and get back with us. It’s definitely not a failure.

Take out the last of us and this is really poor. Also last of us an exclusive game on their gaming service is only available for 3 months..... Seriously?

MrNinosan1026d ago

It's only there for 2 months, and most high anticipated first party had 2-3 months.
And that's fine. People will still buy those amazing games and support Sony, and Sony give the ones who doubt a 2-3 month rental.

And it's not the only good game in the list.
FallOut 76 is "good" nowadays, Final Fantasy VIII a masterpiece.

Yet Another Zombie Defense is awesome with friends.

Amnesia Collection perfect for the horror gamers.

Desperado 3 is "good" aswell.

Playing The Last of Us Part II Is Different After Watching The Show

Has HBO’s The Last of Us show changed fans’ thoughts on Naughty Dog’s sequel, The Last of Us Part II? Maybe.

"Everyone in the world of The Last of Us sequel is miserable in one way or another. I mean, it’s the end of the world, we understand that, but there came a time when the game felt like it was written by Garth Ennis – and that’s not always a good sign."

It is not close to feeling like Garth Ennis's comic book style. Garth is a good writer and his writing isn't all tension either, and the same with Druckman's Last of Us II. In romantic comedies, there are comedic tension and rejection with bouts of misery. In dramas, there are bouts of comedic relief among tension, which are also in the game and this awareness is a good sign.

In the end, everyone dies and everyone is miserable at some point in time, even more so in an apocalypse. However, life is mixed with happy moments while entropy is moving in the background, such as a nice time with family and laugh shared amongst friends and so on, which are in the game.
