FromSoftware staff Yasuhiro Kitao shared a new development update on Elden Ring at TGS 2021 and explained some gameplay details related to difficulty.
Sounding good to me! Should be a fun game to get lost in for a while.
Sounded like the general range of difficulty from Souls games to me .
Sigh. No gameplay demo or new information really. On the bright side, release is only a few months away. Guessing we'll get a new trailer at TGA or maybe something directly from FROM in between now and then.
Bloodborne, DS3, Sekiro all masterpieces imo. I have complete faith in FromSoftware. This might be my most anticipated game of next year…well this and God of War.
Yeh Elden Ring is my most awaited game. I'm still waiting on a 60 fps BC patch for Bloodborne or a remaster. Played through Demon Souls, the remake, Sekiro and Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 - but Bloodborne fell into my backlog ages ago. I could play it now but I feel like I've waited this long I may as well hold out for 60fps in the form of a PS5 update or even a PC version.
Hopefully the rumoured remaster is true. Bloodborne deserves it more than any other game.
Guess you'll never play it then.
I don't think there's going to be a PC version and as for a 60fps PS5 version, who knows. Maybe but it's just a rumour. You obviously love their games and Bloodborne is one of the best (if not the best) they've made, I'd recommend getting stuck in. Personally I was never bothered by the frame rate, don't remember it affecting gameplay.
If it wasn’t hard they would get knocked for it. That’s what people look for in these games.
That's also what the devs intended.
This game releases in January and we still don't have any realtime gameplay footage aside from a few small snippets in a trailer, what are they waiting for?
Oh man, it took me 3 years to beat Dark Sous 3 but I’m ready to give Elden Ring a try.
I have yet to complete any of the Souls games, not because I can't but because I really like these games and don't want to. Yes, I am well aware of NG+ etc. I definitely want to give Elden Ring a try but if I find it as interesting and challenging as the Souls games I probably won't want to finish it but to get so far (a few 10's of hours) and restart.
Lol sure, you can ask for help it its too hard for you.
A game to rule them all!
Elden ring is shaping up to be another jewel in The Rpg crown of Fromsoft.
Oh good pc release as well. Give us max difficulty, we got trainers :D
sounds delightful and cannot wait. From Software has yet to dissapoint
if a marketing manager opens mouth - he lies.
I don't see the lying here. What he said wasn't entirely new, we already knew all of this through trailers and interviews. - Big and small dungeons connected seamlessly to the open world; - A map of the world to aid exploration, no markers nor pre-destinations, you're free to go anywhere; - A mount (they call it a horse, though it looks like a goat to me...) to traverse the big open world which can help you in combat, especially large bosses; - Summons (of allies and enemies) to help ease difficult areas; - Not an easy game or 'FromSoftware's signature difficulty.'
Easy difficulty please
There is easy mode summon a friend for co-op . If that’s too hard summon a couple friends . All souls games can do this
Yes summons are the easy difficulty mode, and are apparently more accessible in this game. Difficulty options would basically undermine all the work put into the systems they have spent years refining and became famous for. And how would that even work with pvp / co-op and experience building being core features of the gameplay? It wouldn't.
I’ve never really minded that I need to soul farm a few times in souls games to help me advance.(I know - if I was gud, I wouldn’t have to farm…) But with the open world, there might not be the need to repeat an area to farm, you may just need to explore a new area.
In some places I had to farm like I was playing farm simulator 19.
From make good games I've gone back onto dark souls 2 sotfs it's astonishing how many weapons armour items there is each with some lore behind it But damn you Gutter & Black Gulch......
Feels like this game is being held back because of Xbox one and Ps4
