Skate 2's biggest addition is a heavy emphasis on user-created content. The developers were really impressed with the rabid user community spawned by the first game, and with a new park editor, moveable terrain, and a slew of new video-editing features, the developers are pushing to make it as easy as possible for players to get creative. These new additions help Skate 2 capture the free-thinking creativity that makes skating culture so distinct. While Tony Hawk's fantasy tricks are fun, Skate manages to nail that sense of accomplishment one gets from pulling off an odd or difficult trick. Even something as simple as a well-timed ollie or an interesting transfer can be as gratifying as a double backflip 720-degree christ air to boardslide.
