IGN writes: "Ever since Microsoft debuted the Zune in November of 2006, there have been consistent rumors about a mobile phone-enabled model. Every time a new rumor abounds, it seems all the more likely. However, when the moment of truth rolled around, high expectations have been met with utter disappointment. This year the Zune Phone speculation has begun, as it so often does, with a pre-Consumer Electronics Show rumor.
According to an analyst for Global Equities Research, Microsoft will unveil a Zune Phone to the media during their keynote address at CES on January 7, 2009 in Las Vegas. Trip Chowdhry, of the market research firm, stated today that Microsoft is expected to debut a new device that combines the features and capabilities of the Zune music player and Danger Sidekick handhelds. He also specified that the new device will have motion-enabled features, comparable to the accelerometer used in the Apple iPhone."
