A moving reticle in Halo Infinite has fans resurfacing familiar arguments.
It's baby's first fps.. Of course it has it.
“In this example, as soon as a player touches their mouse, aim assist is instantly disabled” “So there you have it. Aim assist doesn’t actually make you any better at Halo. You’re awesome on your own merits. Go, you!” I know some of you folks can’t read beyond a headline or don’t have any idea what your talking about when it comes to FPS games so there you go ⬆️ Even Pony noobs have to start somewhere and Halo would be fine for your first steps.
Mouse... Most people play with a controller on console.
Problem isn't mouse/keyboard, problem is controller aim assist that is [email protected]#[email protected] broken!
I'm not quite sure this is the case, i tried it last night on steam and the aiming with a mouse felt off, in the settings it has a default option to m magnetize your aim, so unless you disable that, aim assist is aggressive even with a mouse.
@magog I guess reading comprehension is hard
How the hell do you manage to spew your nonsense first on every thread? Simply amazing that you are now the biggest troll on N4G. For some reason I think that is what you want.
Another cringe troll comment
"I can't believe we're still debating Halo's aim assist, so here's an article to stir up the debate once more!"
honest question, between Halo and Warhawk, which one had the "stronger" aim assist? I only played Warhawk back on PS3 but only played Halo on PC and haven't noticed the aim assist even with the controller
Can we all type our ages to see what age group is interested in Halo to get a gauge of if the teenagers are interested or not. I'm guessing it's gonna cater for the older generation of xbox/360 gamers. I'll start 46
the game is clearly aimed at gamers who are using mummy's credit card

I'm guessing it's gonna cater for the older generation of xbox/360 gamers. I'll start 46*** Guess again. Halo 5 is rated T for tweeny, parents rated it 9+ which angered the 10+ year olds who were sick and tired of single digit kids ruining their games.. Laugh is https://www.commonsensemedi... Parent reviews for Halo 5: Guardians Common Sense says age 13+ Based on our expert review Parents say age 9+ Based on 25 reviews Kids say age 10+ Based on 121 reviews*** I don't have to make this up. 25parents v 121 kids.. The kids have it. Its why they don't like Death Stranding.. https://www.esrb.org/rating... Platforms PlayStation 5 Blood Intense Violence Partial Nudity Strong Language No Interactive Elements Rating Summary This is an action game in which players assume the role of a courier (Sam Porter) transporting packages across a post-apocalyptic environment. As players traverse mountainous terrain, they can be attacked by human settlers and ghostly apparitions. Players use machine guns, grenades, and shotguns to kill enemies; firefights are highlighted by realistic gunfire, large splashes of blood, and cries of pain. In some stages, players can perform stealth takedowns of enemies (e.g., strangling characters from behind). Cutscenes contain more intense instances of violence: a man and an infant shot—the latter, accidentally (blood splatter appears below the infant); a character shooting a comatose patient in the head; a man stabbing himself repeatedly in the distance. A handful of scenes depict a character with his buttocks exposed. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.*** Hell of a CV for a mailman eh? Wooses like Chuck Norris need not apply. lol
I only played Halo because my son did when he was a kid but I dontplay anymore and either does he since Bungie doesn’t make Halo . I’m the same age . It’s for whoever wants to play it
The real Halo came out years ago and it's called Destiny 2.
I've said the same thing.
25 here. I love Halo. Never was an Xbox guy, just PC. I have multiplayer shooter fatigue (it's getting quite boring) and they showed nothing of promise for the Campaign, so currently on the fence.
29. Have some of them in my backlog. Never played any of them
38, looking forward to trying it out again (but have my concerns over dev)
No its designed to cater for everyone, the babies who keep going on about need to grow up.
All the people I know who are playing it are enjoying it. Literally only this small pocket of trolls on n4g am I seeing constantly reaching for anything they can grab onto to troll this game.
Shooting games that use control based input typically have some aim assist. Halo titles generally have low aim assist.
This is a pre-beta version of the game. I'd give 343 the benefit of doubt and assume that they haven't finetuned controller aim assist. There are many details involved including adjusting aim assist for all thumbstick sensitivity configurations. The guy in the clip confirmed he was using custom settings.
The worst thing that could happen to video games is the internet. EVERYBODY thinks they know how to develop a game better than it's creators. They wine and moan about every and anything just to get attention. You cry babies make me sick.
People must not have played the game. If aim assist was as good as people claim then I would imagine my pistol shots would hit more and my Sniper shots wouldn't completely miss half the time.
The PC version feels very well optimised and certainly doesn't have much aim assist if any using keyboard and mouse. You can see how bad it is on certain games like past CODs where you'd be flashbanged yet your reticle would follow the player you can't even see. Destiny 2 was really bad for it on PC the last time I played where it'd make melee hits stupidly easy, there certainly isn't easy melee hits with K/M on Infinite that's for sure.
If the game is fun, that's all that really matters.
we should debate why it look like a Xbox 360 game
