Alan Wake Remastered Comparison Trailer Released, Devs Tease Connection to Other Remedy Games

Microsoft has now released a new trailer featuring the graphical changes from the original's Xbox 360 release, to the upcoming one for Xbox Series. Devs tease game's connection to other Remedy-developed games.

It's probably because it's coming to the PS5. Alan Wake always felt like an Xbox exclusive to me. The game is a classic to me. I like the fact that they referenced Stephen King in this game

I'll be doing the same thing. I can play it right now on my Series S (360 ver) but when it comes to remakes & remasters, I tend to get them on a system I didnt already have it for.

I'm getting it on PS4 and Switch (once that inevitable reveal and release occurs). Alan Wake was the main reason I got a 360 back in the day.

I mean, definitely an improvement (when compared to the 360 in this video), but having played it on PC (maybe with a sprinkle of nostalgia) its doesnt look a whole lot different, revised lighting (obvious in some scenes, barely in others) and some character model tweaks.

I'd understand had a new game been announced, but just kinda seems like a quick n easy cash in.

Well, the PC port is very bad and the game never actually released on PlayStation. I think its a great move even if it's not a proper remake, looks a lot better already! I will be playing it again for sure,

When I played it on PC, maybe around 7 or 8 years ago, it played and looked great on PC at the time. I didn't have any problems. I can't remember if I played it in 1440p or 1080P, but I do remember it was in 60fps with vsync turned off.

This 'remaster' doesn't really look a lot better. It does indeed look a great deal like the 9 year old PC game re-released. Marginal nips and tucks.

I played it on PC waaaaaaaaaaaaay back when and it ran just fine at 1080p and 60FPS. I ran it on a GTX680.

Def getting this on PC, think about the mods that will bring ray tracing and don't forget reshade to make it look so much better than stock.

Looks more like a PS4 level remaster, rather than a PS5/Series X level remaster. An improvement, but not to the levels that we should be seeing for PS5/Series X.

First, If you never played Alan Wake then by all means do because it's probably the best-hidden gem of the 360 Era (and the 2 DLC are awesome).
Now It's great to see the improvement between the 360 version probably running on a 360 and the new remaster
but honestly, there's not a lot vs the actual PC version of Alan wake that ppl got for free on Epic Game store or collector edition version from Steam (that include the dev comments).

Still knowing me I'll probably play the game again for the 5th time (I already own 5 copies of that game that a disc and digital version on 360, a disk version on PC and 2 digital version on PC).

Sounds like me with Doki Doki Literature Club Plus.. digital on PS4 and Switch and also pre-orders for physical versions as well 😅 .. but after playing it for the first time in July it overtook The Last of Us as my all time favorite game.
