COG writes: We've come up with a list of five of the most controversial video games ever to strut their pixelated stuff on gamers' screens over the years. Think you can name at least one off the top of your head?
The DOAX games are actually pretty fun. Article is definitely written by a Zoomer as it doesn't even include games like Postal.
Or GTA: San Andreas Coffee Time. This guy is one of the activists trying to get stuff banned so he picked and chose games he was offended by.
Violence = it's our typical entertainment Sexual content = degrading! Absurd! Sexist! Degenerate! Rape training! I don't know about you all, but sex makes me happier than seeing violence..... 😁
If they'd done one second of research they'd know that the touchy feely part of DOAX3's VR mode was never released.
It was released, just not in the U.S. it is right there in the article.
Nope! The game was released in China and Japan that much is true. VR functionality was announced as an optional update and was initially going to allow the player to poke and prod the girls but due to the negative reaction from western media this was removed for launch and the VR mode does not allow any form of interaction.
There's a billion much more controversial games than this esp going back to the early 2000s haha that's okay though. Lists are just for fun. Postal and Postal 2 are probably the biggest omissions here
I remember Manhunt being pretty controversial. And leaving the OG Mortal Kombat out just feels wrong. I can't think of another game in history that got anywhere near as much attention and controversy as that. I mean, the government were having regular meetings about it and it also lead to the creation of the rating system.
Manhunt 2 was actually banned at one point in the UK at least. I miss the series.
Those people being loser game journalists. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 VR Mode = "violent and aggressive promotion of sexual assault" apparently. Get a grip you absolute clowns. If this game is promoting sexual assault, then every game with violence is promoting violence.
i want a fear effect 2 remake just to piss off those ppl, i want the cockroach scene in full 4k xD
agreed. some people are clueless and just trying to call things out to appease a certain group.
The writers of this piece are those people and it worked since the release was stopped.
The hypocrisy is strong with games media. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard things like that from them and SJWs but then they give things like Grand Theft Auto V accolades.
Can be said for any VR game that allows for any kind of interaction with NPC. Let's see: Skyrim? Yes, I suppose you can technically "sexually assault" anyone in that game, and with a sword too, should it be deviant enough to intend it in that way. IT'S NOT FUCKING REAL! These idiots writing shit like this need to go out in the world and get some sunshine. I'd ban Super Seducer, though. Just because the maker actually believes he is a "super seducer" of women and is pathetic enough to think he's some kind of Casanova giving advice, the sad bastard.
In the land of the freeee, we want to ban everything we seeee!!
People bitch and wine about anything to get shit banned there are other games out there that are worse then what's on this list this list is meh with the titles. With the internet and most consoles not region locked anymore it's just easier to import a game now.
Let them play any adult version of a visual novel on PC and they'd have a stroke. Nekopara, YU-NO, Aokana and so forth. Actually you can watch the H scenes from Nekopara on adult sites and they last damn near an hour, lol
Happy the Switch isn't region locked because that's how I plan on getting a lot of physical versions of Switch games from Playasia. Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water, If My Heart Had Wings, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet, Little Busters! Converted Edition, Food Girls, Love Esquire and several others.
Senran Kagura is pretty pervy and pornographic, deffo not kids games.
Baby stuff.. I have Reflexions and Peach Ball for Switch. Go to an adult site and look up Nekopara. The adult scenes are only on the PC version and you gotta pay for a patch to unlock them but still, lol. The Switch versions are rated M and very mild with kissing instead of sex and the PS4 version is so neutered it's rated E O believe, lol.
How is Senran Kagura pornographic? I have played the games and watched the anime it's more ecchi then porno. I have never seen any bouncy boobs in Senran Kagura that were not covered up and never seen any anime muff.
How do you think he'd react to the uncensored version of Nekopara on PC if he thinks Senran Kagura is bad? 😂
Take DOAX off the list, snowflake. What a weak a generation we have right now that a game like the aforementioned is offensive to them. Well, good luck shutting down the porn industry that has all the boxes ticked for the triggered people, if you dare. Oh and also Cardi B while you're at it with her borderline pornographic music videos, or she somehow doesn't count? Hypocrisy to the fullest.
Wonder if we’ll ever see another Manhunt?
That game pushed really far into snuff but it was definitely creative and really solidified Rockstar Games as much more than a one trick pony.
These games don't have anything on Manhunt, that game was sick and twisted and original cops were banned in some countryside I believe. The original game had to be replaced with a cut version as well. In britain we had a murder associated with the Manhunt game, a kid had took his mate somewhere and beat him to death with a claw hammer. It were later found the two had been playing Manhunt in the ones kids bedroom. Despite that I still think another Manhunt should be released. At the end of the day there will always be someone who takes these games to seriously and go to far, they are though just game and theirs never a need to copy them. Most of us are sane in the head to realise all of this but again there are some who have that psychological break who can't seem to split games and reality apart. Games are meant to be fun, whatever the content, there are a few especially on pc that are a no no and deserve to be banned because of violence towards children so on. These groups though that complain are ridiculous and will like other suggest complain over everything and anything. They are born to whinge and whine and set themselves up in a way like a cult like ideology to follow a certain type of thinking that is a no no to the rest of the world and no matter what everyone else does it's all just wrong what were doing. I pay no attention to it all most of the time it these groups seem to be getting more power and I don't like it especially when it starts affecting what you love like video games.
Go play the adult patched version of Nekopara on PC and then get back to me 😂
Most controversial game I heard was Ethnic Cleansing.. title says it all and I doubt it even got a proper release.
No Thrill Kill?
The Japanese game "RapeLay" was pretty controversial..
This reminds me of that idiot Jack Thompson who tried many times in wanting the banning of GTA altogether. Also a period of time Manhunt was such a no no for the UK because some youth killed another and he happened to have that game so the media put two and two together to make five.
