I know I have despite cursing out some no life morons who went out of there way trying to step up to me.

INehalemEXI6038d ago (Edited 6038d ago )

I want 3d trophie's and an arcade in my trophy room and a flat screen in my summer home.

Survive home? I did not know we could die...I saw no life bars.

himdeel6038d ago (Edited 6038d ago )

...from me is to never approach a doorway in HOME if you're intent isn't to leave an area. You will automatically zone to the next space when in common areas. Then you'll have to zone back to the place you just left which is a minor inconvenience.

I'm not sure if this will be patched with an accept prompt in the final version but if not you've been warned. Otherwise get a headset or keyboard interface of some type if you don't have one and get familiar with the mute individual/block players options.

Also get VERY familiar with the PDA that you will use for virtually all navigation in HOME. Once you're savvy with the PDA you'll be whisking away to zones like nobody's business.

Gaming etiquette: Don't go afk while play any games, this includes bowling, pool, chess, or arcade games. I haven't gone afk for long periods of times so I'm not sure how HOME handles this particularly with games you can play in the application.

Survive? This isn't Dead Space. Home is very easy going and incredibly easy to navigate. Everything you need to know is introduced step by step through tutorials or on screen propmts.

Danja6038d ago

I guess the tutorials didn't help ppl..since u got dis-agrees

ultimolu6038d ago

That's why I headdesked. o-O

Fishy Fingers6038d ago (Edited 6038d ago )

Ha, yeah, or maybe people who haven't even tired Home yet? Because you cant even proceed without going through the tutorials first. Basically if you struggle with Home you'd struggle with computer games, or perhaps, writing your name.

It's incredibly simple to use, almost as if Sony designed it that way... ;)

This site is full of little children that press disagree based on someones name and their gaming preference. Its quite pathetic. I dont think they even read the comments.

And to disagree with someone because they are saying something TRUE about something you dont have, dont like and have never used is very immature... but then again N4G as a whole is very immature with all the flamebait articles all day.

I used to think this site was cool as hell when I found it a couple years back. I hated how the 360 guys bashed everything Sony related, but not much has changed. It has just gotten worse. They made gamer/open zone which is truly useless. I think it should be one zone, moderated only for racism/cursing/spoilers and let the gamers have ONE account to use. The commenters can bubble up/down people and let the site be moderated like that. If a user gets one bubble - Take away his reply button from his comment, because he has one bubble because he is a spamming troll.

If N4G ever did this, I think people would be very surprised to find out how many accounts are actually duplicates.

ultimolu6038d ago (Edited 6038d ago )

Pay them no mind.
I don't really care anymore.

I gave you an agree btw.

This needs to stop but it won't anytime soon. The hatred is strong around here. I guess people are pissed off because Home came a lot sooner than expected.

I think a better article for here might be "How to survive your first sexual encounter with another person. All two minutes of it."

That would help out a lot more people, I think.

Every girl you see may not really be a girl....

G.I.R.L - Guy In Real Life

Sackdude6038d ago

Wrong, yesterday i was in home, and talked to a REAL G.I.R.L and she had a MIC.. so yeah $uck it haters.

on topic
Sony's bizarre online???

Fanboy article much?

Nathaniel_Drake6038d ago

The article midway through turned into more of a review then what to do in Home, he expresses some opinion in it which I wasn't expecting, just a guide tour

BigPappaPump6038d ago

LMAO Black. It's pathetic when guys disguise themselves as girls just to get ridiculous attention. It's a riot when you see groups of 20+ guys swarming and dancing around a single female avatar. Now that's what I call running a virtua train.

PotNoodle6038d ago

Oh lawd, teach me your ways.

UnwanteDreamz6038d ago

Do what I did for some real fun. I made a girl character one day while my sister was over for a visit. She got on my mic and started talking to guys. It didn't take long before they were saying some pretty R rated stuff to her at that point I would switch avatars get on the mic and call them all losers/homos.

Seriously though there are some girls and women on Home but when they use a mic you always got some loser running them off. I mean they have a report group for stalking already.

I think Home is gonna be a crazy fun place. I can't wait for the craziness cause people will always find new ways to use a service like this.

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
