Tales of Arise is one of the best JRPGs in years

Tales of Arise is confident, clever, deep, and more than a little bit beautiful. It’s a genre high point of recent years.

The story is too old to be commented.

Agreed, let this be the beginning of the JRPG renaissance. Let Persona 5 Royal, Tales of Arise, Shin Megami Tensei V, Dragon Quest XI S, Three Houses, Xenoblade, Yakuza 0/Like a Dragon, Y's, Trails of Cold Steel, FFXVI, and FFVIIR bring new life to jrpgs, and eventually Sony, please remake Legend of Dragoon!

Also, though maybe not traditional jrpgs, don't forget Dragon's Dogma 2, BotW2, Forspoken, Monster Hunter, and Elden Ring!

you said it all for me....but not only sequels to those famous series ...they should start new AAA JRPGs ideas

why they were capable ot create back them and not now?

Because the home market(Japan) lost interest in console RPG titles due to their commuter lifestyle.

Portable and mobile gaming also became substantially more profitable so major studios like Sega, Square Enix and Konami shifted much of their focus to those platforms.

Enjoyable game with witty (non-cringe) dialogue & visually impressive.

I don't enjoy the dodge mechanic, not saying its difficult, just seems awkward to use >.> or offish

The timing has to be just right . At first I thought it was somewhat poorly designed but as I got the timing down with the monsters attacks it became very useful . I wouldn’t say it’s perfect but it’s not bad like my initial impression .

That might be a stretch. The game is pretty average, to me.

I agree. It's very good. I'm only in the second area, feels like the soviet union, lol. I like the more serious themes of authoritarianism, which are pretty relatable these days. Graphics are beautiful, the combat especially surprised me, it's deep, but lots of fun. It wades you into the various mechanics at a reasonable pace, and before you know it, you're dodging, attacking, zipping around the battlefield, using special moves, attacking weak spots, lots of fun.

The 2nd area gave me those vibes too but I was getting more East Germany Stasi comparisons with their informant stooges army.
