The latest Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy trailer proves that its Star-Lord is trying too hard to replicate Chris Pratt's take on the character.
Having a hard time getting excited for this game, the character designs are a bit too much for me and the animations feel stiff. Perhaps they should be trying harder to emulate MCU, I don't see why this would be an issue to begin with though. It's the same character.
It was the issue with the Avengers game (aside from the grinds). The character designs they use are not relatable and not even likeable to the MCU crowd. Those characters in the Avengers game are boring and one dimensional most of them.
Just use the comic book designs whats wrong with square enix .
I don't mind it emulating Chris Pratt's character from the movies. I welcome the comedy. This game actually doesn't look too bad but I do need to see more gameplay.
If its Insomniac, they couldnt have given the project to a better team.
It’s not unfortunately
It's made by the team at Eidos Montreal that worked on the Avengers game. Same engine and everything. Only difference besides characters and settings is that it's a full fledged single player game. No online GaaS bullshit.
Crystal Dynamics made The Avengers game.
@CosmicTurtle Crystal Dynamics were the main developers. Eidos Montreal as well as a few other Square Enix owned studios helped make the game and develop the engine.
Huh...insomniac has nothing to do with this game Insomniacs character designs are much greater quality.
There are a lot of studios that could've did this better.... Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, The Coalition, Any Bethesda studio, all the Ubisoft studios, etc. Square is just turning Marvel games into yearly releases. And they aren't good releases either.
Ya this game just isn’t doing it for me
will give this game a chance, from latest trailers it looks very nice and fun to play, that space segment shooting looked pretty damn good, still need to see more, is not only trying to imitate Star Lord Chris Pratt but is trying to do the same with the whole cast, and that's not a bad thing imo.
The game just needs to be fun, I am rather upset that they decided to make it solo only cause this would be a great game to play with friends.
I just want a good, fun story and decent action. Had no issues with star lord from the trailers and the game looks like it will deliver that much for me at least.
Pratt is the character to me. I’ve never heard of them before I saw the movies. Howard the duck is the only thing I knew about them and I didn’t even know Howard the duck was a marvel character. But I can understand using the MCU version over a comic version for characters. I feel the same for characters I have followed. I want comic wolverine and Spider-Man. I want hulk fights and omega red. Deadpool haha
I remember watching Howard the Duck as a kid, lol .. This was back in the late 80's of course
I vehemently disagree. If you’re going to blame anyone, blame the writers. He has actually voice acyed his lines very well and regards to comedic timing, has seemingly nailed that as well. We only have a few trailers to go off of , but from what I’ve seen this game actually looks like it will be an enjoyable ride. Whereas never at any point did I find a morsel of enjoyment of The Avengers game leading up to launch.
This is the only superhero game I've ever been interested in besides X-Men Origins: Wolverine and I haven't even seen the Guardians movies yet. Then again, I haven't seen a single MCU movie yet either.
Oh you are in for a treat. Wow
Yeah I do plan on watching the Guardians movies before I get the game. I'm just more into anime than superheroes. I don't mean action anime either which is the big thing in America.. More like comedy, slice of life, romance, harem, isekai, ecchi, Idol, drama and science fiction.. Pretty much everything but standard action 😂
