At its core, F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is a strong Metroidvania. That makes it frustrating when it makes so many choices that undercut it.

Yeah, but Epic already gave this game out before for free. Nothing new here, just a rehash.
F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is not the best Metroidvania out there, but in a sea full of them, this would definitely be swimming close to the top. That is all thanks to its fantastic combat, upgrade system and setting.
